I don't like inconsistency. In the past they have forced people to wear yellow. Now its ok not to. FFS, make a rule and stick with it ASO.

That said, no yellow jersey is imo better than having the person who was in 2nd at the end of the stage wear it.
Can you give me an example of when the yellow jersey DNS and the next in GC wore yellow?

Hint: It never happened...

There isn't any inconsistency.
Oops, my bad, I thought I had read that they forced Lance to wear it when Zabriskie crashed out.

So does this mean its still Etixx's job to set pace today?
Zabriskie lost the jersey in the TTT. He DNF'ed five stages later (stage 9). How is it in any way comparable to today???

Because there was a story on here or on a website saying that Armstrong refused to wear yellow after Zabriskie crashed out in the yellow jersey, but that he was forced to wear it by the ASO.
Apparently it's BS story.

I've have terminal CRS so can you remind me of the circumstances of LA refusing to wear yellow without earning it? I remember him on the start line in his regular team kit and ASO/UCI p*ssing their depends, but I don't remember the details (I'm shocked I remember that much!).

EDIT: never mind, I got it. http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/sport/archives/2005/07/08/2003262759

Came to think of it, today will be a very important day for green. If Greipel wins again, he has a 20+ points advantage on Sagan. Where is Sagan going to take these points back? I don't really see much opportunities in intermediate sprints after some tough terrain where he could pick up some points where Greipel couldn't. In the 3rd week he can maybe try and go in a break away but that won't be easy either.

Green might be decided on Champs-Elysées.

Don't forget you can have your say in the Cyclingnews stage 7 forum. Lots of lively debate as always.

Eh, I don't think so CN live. 7 pages halfway into the stage...

I read on tv2 live update that Contador crashed in neutral zone, but they quickly removed it. Can anyone confirm og dismiss it?

Emilio Magni, doctor at Astana, said Nibali has some postural issues because of the crash of yesterday but nothing special.

Great......... thanks. Was it anything serious or?

Nothing was said apart from that they crashed in the neutral zone so I doubt it was serious.

I'm a bit slow today, do you think Carlton will explain why Froome isn't in yellow again?
Because he’s really a pussy. He had to go explaining his reasons to Nibali because he was afraid of Nibali’s reaction. Apparently Nibali can be a big bully against Froome

My own drinking game cue for Sean Kelly: using "real" instead of "really". "Sagan is a real good all-rounder".

To be serious: Froome could not have worn the yellow jersey. Martin completed the stage and went on the podium to receive the yellow jersey yesterday.

Yes, I know, Carlton has explained it 4 or 5 times already, with 67km left I reckon he makes it to 10!

I'd say it has to do with the attention that comes with the MJ.

And the daily tests.
