There is no hard climb left in the Vuelta. All the climbs left are moderate (not even hard) Cat 2/Cat 1 climbs.

Dumoulin would win if he had a team. In these conditions holding off Astana is impossible.

There will be no need for a 'holding off', nobody will seriously attack him.
Of course they will. Even if it's just in the last few hundred metres; that's all Aru needs. Just one time bonus would be enough.

A Cat 1 climb as the one tomorrow is enough to make Dumoulin give up 3 seconds. And Tom has problems in descents, as seen in Andorra.

Quintana will try a long range attack to make the podium as well. That will play into Astana's hands by making the race hard from far out.

Katusha should send out the whole team and have JRod bridge. However, Astana would probably close it, indirectly dom'ing for Dumoulin

Seems like Dumoulin really tapered off in the last half. Didn't gain much on Aru or Purito.
I thought he went out a bit hard; it definitely seemed like his cadence increased in the second half. Still an amazing time, but possibly could have got even more with a better paced effort.

Shout out to Nairo for climbing up into the top 5- very good TT. Also great to see Louis Meintjes keep his 10th position- that guy is talent.

I'm sure I prefered Dumoulin to win over Aru until this stage started, I liked Fabio less after the Giro (thanks to the team), but suddenly I like Aru more again after this stage:) That boy really want it.

Yeah, I get all the praise for Aru, but Quintana's monster performance seems to have flown under the radar, so most people here still won't realize how much he's been improving in ITT until it hits them in the face next time.

Purito on twitter;

''I'm sorry
I will keep trying
It doesn't end here''

Not sure if he means this Vuelta or another shot in years to come.
