The Vuelta well on its way to podiuming the "worst GTs of the decade" competition.
I wasn't expecting anything more looking at this first week profiles.

Why? That was the first real mtf and the first two 3rd category finishes were pretty good. Moreover its hard to win against the 2012 tour/giro
I don't think those finishes were pretty good. Yes, the 2012 Giro in particular will probably still come 1st, and yes, it's too early and the Vuelta could still improve, theoretically. Hence the "well on its way" thing.

To all the "Aru has no chance because he has never climbed stronger than any other top tier rider" guys: In your face
He climbed 8 seconds faster. How many climbs does he need to compensate the 2+ minutes he'll lose in the ITT?

He should've gone to this year's tour

Or any Tour with little TT.
No chance so far with Nibbles in his team. I hope he gets his first crack at the tour next year.

I don't think he'll lose 2+ min to anyone except Dumoulin,maybe.

He climbed 8 seconds faster on one kilometer, and the pace wasnt high so the riders weren't already exhausted when he attacked
edit: and the gc contenders this year are all extremely bad time trialists, now that froome has dropped, nibali was disqualified and everyone says that dumoulin doesnt have a chance anyways. He actually could even be one of the strongest ones.

I remember how we did nothing but complain during the Giro.

Seriously, you guys have absolutely no standards. You should work on your self-esteem, love yerselves a little more, y'know?

It's quite enjoyable actually, everyone looks a bit second hand so it's unpredictable and we are only 7 stages in.

Could be worse for Froome, maybe he will ride into some form, maybe not, how he looks will be naturally projected tenfold because its Froome. Valverde still the favourite for me, a bit better than Aru in the TT and more experienced, they should be sending Quintana up the road from far out in Andorra to *** everyone up.

Not if Pozzovivo repeats his 2013 Vuelta ITT.

Credit to Lindemann there, Jumbo were one of the teams I expected to not win a stage here.

Aru looking strong while most of the other GC guys marked each other. Froome as I expected is suffering with bad legs in this first week, he didn't lose that much time in the end.

I am here, you were looking for me?

I am not happy he lost time, obviously, but the stage was won by LottoNL, Lampre did not win the stage, nor Aru.
so not bad
Nico is still there in GC, let´s see how the next stages go.
anything else?

Yeah, every single GT is disappointing or boring in some way.

Dude, its late August.
Still 10 months left till they come out of hibernation again

What are you on about. Will be interested to see if can he improve or whether he loses form as usual in this situation based on past vueltas where he's done tdf before.
