Re: 2016 Criterium du Dauphiné, 2.UWT, June 5-12

Sky, FDJ, Katusha, Canondale all clearly think the best weather and conditions will be around 1.

Initially i wondered if it was a sign that Poels was leader at this race, since Sky haven't done any interviews as usual!
But it looks like it's just a tactic.

It's a bit disappointing for the race though!

Theoretically, lets say the first riders dont get rain and the last ones does. How much will rain affect anyway considering its only uphill, those 20% sections I imagine it can have something to say but how much ??

Someone who rides the Dauphiné to prepare the Tour might take it quietly tomorrow. If you go full force you're more likely to get injured than to improve your shape. For those who want to go fast the warming-up will be important.

I think Pinot will go for it.

Why does everyone rate Pinot so highly suddenly? I mean yea, he's having a great season.

But the likes of Porte are surely better than him in one week races. Porte has been pretty close to Contador this year and Contador absolutely crushed Pinot in PV for example.

Think Porte deserves a bit more respect, for sure in one week races

To be honest, I expect Froome and Contador to slightly undercooked right now.

I think Contador will win it by 20 sec or barely make top 5. Whatever happens, it'll be fun in here.

No clue about Froome but Porte will do good.

When Contador says he is only thinking about the Tour and its only preparation, we all know what will happen. He might as well tell the truth, that way, it will be much harder to predict what will happen - is he actually telling the truth or lying?

Contador ahead of Porte and Froomey.

In another interview, he said he wants to win it.

Translation or journalists. Prob both knowing what snakes journalists are and how bad they are at their job. Especially cycling journalists.

90% of this forum knows more than belgian cycling journalists. And Belgium is the so called country known for their cycling.

Okay, I just read a little piece where he stated that all he thinks about is the Tour at this point. But yeah, agree.
