Landa will have a hard time winning a GC with his TT skills.
This was actually better than expected. If we say Landa looses about 20 seconds to Nibali on 10 kilometers he would only loose 1:20 in the long ITT. Of course you can't just take the times from a short time trial and say the time difference per kilometer will be exactly the same in a very different ITT, but if he is the strongest climber of the race the TT shouldnt be a problem if his performance on stage 9 will be comparable to today.

Usually the dutch are very arrogant people, we all know that but dumoulin had no bad intentions with that statement, it is true.
I thought Dutch are very open minded and free. And not because marihuana. But never been there, I can't find reason to visit Dutch. First there are like dozens others countries. Honestly, what is the reason to visit Holland when you are not tulip, windmills or canal lover?

Dumoulin said he certainly didn't ride his best TT today, but it was enough and that's what matters.
Oh no...so he wins and still talks like this? I thought he is likeable guy, but this...
lol what are you crying about?
You know, surely that was great TT from him, his statement sounds like boasting and lack of respect to opponents.

I can tell you that you completely misunderstand him then.

Dunno if you have ever done a form of sports. But have you never had a game or a ride or a match you won, but you think afterwards, damn, I could've done better.

I know I have. A true sportsman wants to get the best out of himself. If you feel you could've gone faster, what's wrong with saying that? I trully do not understand how that is arrogant?

dutch people are not arrogant at all. They are very direct though, and that's something many people cannot handle. Especially Belgians
exactly this. it's also something many limburgian(southernmost province in the netherlands) people have problems with. the souther you get, the less direct they are. but in general dutch people are very direct and will let you know wether they like you or not.

I've done. And when I won I'd never say I could do better. You know, he did best he could after all, so how he could do better? If he could go faster, he surely would. But he just couldn't.

That was partly joke, but only partly. Your answer only reasures me, that after all it probably isn't joke :)

No it doesnt, it was an honest remark about what he thought of his own performance today. Nothing arrogant about it at all

Time gaps between the leader and some best placed sprint specialists:

Kittel +11
Nizzolo +27
Greipel +34
Viviani +36
Demare +40

Kittel could be a serious threat to Dumoulin tomorrow and/or on Sunday.
Hofland is at +25. He is technically a sprint specialist, not that I expect much of him in the sprints here.

I was really hoping Uran was holding out at Romandie and that he would show his true level here, but this result is not good. The contrast with Chaves is hard to believe if you go back just two years ago.
uran clear as hell didn't push it today

Yeah, saving himself for tomorrow's stage :D
