Cav and Kittel unsurprisingly dropped, Greipel hanging on in the peloton.
From 0 to 100 (Froome, Quintana) on a climbing scale:'

Kittel near 0
Cav 5-10
Griepel 10-15

?

I'd probably say Cav is not far off Kittel level now, he's gained that extra speed in his sprint back but it seems to have come at a cost of his climbing, he said he really struggled in the mountains the weekend.

Greipel has some decent form in being able stay in the bunch on climbs, especially when they aren't going full gas.

Pathetic there aren't pictures, they will tune in when the break has formed and then slumping for 3 hours until the last climb. Meh.

Kelderman and Rolland dropped... Pace must be quiet high.

And at the same the Race Center says Cav is back in the peloton... I find that very hard to believe.

Think the roads get steeper further up the climb, they are on the gentle inclines at the moment

Its not exactly a steep climb - 22.6km at 5.5%. The Cat 1 status would be marginal and probably has to do with the fact that its commences at the start.

Legit Cat 1. Arcalis, at little more than 60% of the altitude difference, was an HC for Vino's sake

Costa has 50s to the peleton?
38s to Sagan group (4 riders possibly )

still, sagan needs more people than 5 in the attack, in such small escape, he will loose lot of strenght that he will need in the finish. Avarmaet must be really exhausted, I expected him to be in the break today too.

Strange. They have all funny information average speed, current gradients, percentage of turns for individual rider in break etc. and they do not have a gaps.

45 seconds for Rui Costa to Sagans group (Nibali, Cummings, Grmay, Dumoulin maybe lol) who then have 20s to peloton with no Green jersey

where did sagan go? Finally realized that unless there is big break there is not point being there?

EDIT: never mind.

Three riders are together at the head of the race in the tricky descent of the Envalira to Ax-les-Thermes: Rui Costa, Peter Sagan, Vincenzo Nibali.
