I feel for Froome and Porte, but neutralising doesn't seem to be an easy decision either
No, you can't just stop the time gaps at the time of the crash. Froome, Porte and Mollema had already burnt matches that some of the guys behind hadn't - wouldn't be a fair solution.

ASO should consider open the road in front of contenders with this vehicle

hahaha, this!

That was probably the most insane sequence of events I have witnessed at the TDF. Someone mentioned Guerini at Huez and sure enough, that was ridiculous at the time and thank god he won it. I cannot even begin to comprehend how they're going to fairly determine the result today. Someone's gonna get farked. If tomorrow wasn't a TT I could see a rider strike happening.

I hope someone kills the stupid pigs that were responsible. I bet they were taking some selfies. What a disgrace.
We don't know yet. All we know was Froome for a moment thought he was in a triathlon - could have been his own fault.
What the hell? Can we ban this dude?

If the guys is speaking out of his *** ban him. Didn't you see the bike stopping out of nowhere and ritchie and froome with broken bikes?

You are mad on the internet.

Been an problem for years on a MTF. Those stage finishes need 3 or 4x the km barriers. It makes great TV with the fans so close, but you can't have a drunk fan deciding the outcome of a race before the finish line. Times will be taken from the crash point surely?

Are you freaking kidding me? A moto takes out the on the attack yellow jersey on a critical summit finish? Get the damn motos off the roads! Enough of this crap. What a farce!

Just get more barriers. Without TV pictures there isnt going to be any racing (sponsors).

how on Earth that kind of incident ever happens in Le Tour? Tifosis in Italy are way wilder with narrower roads- and yet the worst always happens in Le Tour....

BTW - as funny as it looked :D Froome did the right thing & quite honest - He has BIG balls to do such move!! At this point he deserved the Tour Title without a doubt !

To be honest i think it's because the fans at the Giro are true cycling fans, while many people who watch the Tour only watch the tour. There's also loads and loads of fans in Belgium, yet there's no issues there, because those too are true cycling fans.
