Oh how I miss Contador right now ;(

I guess when people say that contador is only one who can match froome.. I guess it's true. Ow well. We will never see that.

Quintana.. DONE!

It's more that Contador would make the race interesting by going on long range attacks etc. even if he's way behind. I'm not even a Contador fan but the dude at least races, unlike most of the current top 10 this year/

Yeah, like he made it interesting in 2015.....Valverde plays that role perfectly in this race. We know Tour winner already. Turns out the excitement was gone with Porte's mechanical. Will still get a proper fight for podium spots

Lol Quintana too overrated.Yates and Bardet great.Mollema finally getting where he should be.

This is not really Quintana last year I expected more even from Aru
Yates sucking wheels like usual and then strike in last 500m :)

Froome barely breathing crossing the line.
He wasn't as good this Tour. The rest were just worse. Don't play it like he is supreme because he is not.
This. He's been a complete rider this Tour, but not as strong on the climbs. Still strong enough to beat Lil Porte and drop an underwhelming Nairo, but he hasn't had the violent acceleration, even when he went after Porte he just pulled him back.

Let's wait for him to crush everyone tomorrow first.

Froome has demolished every top rider in the world bar Contador, who he crushed in the Dauphine anyway. You can't just dismiss that

Yeah, in one most predictable and easy race to ocntrol every year, you saw how superior he was at Vuelta

Meintjes is quietly having an impressive tour.

Up to 10th in GC. And finished with Aru, only 19 seconds behind Froome and Porte.

Interesting to see if he can keep it up. Him and Yates are the most interesting stories this tour with regards to the GC.

Well that and Porte not cracking yet. Such a shame he had such bad luck.

Riis: "All these riders who were supposed to attack are not even good enough to be domestiques for Froome". QFT.

Would have been interesting to see where Alberto would have been...this version of Froome is not the strongest at all

Lol. He didn't even breathe. He would have won no matter what. TdF is a farce. Nodoby can beat Sky in this race.
Hope Froome turns attention on Giro next year. I really want a close battle in TdF.

Froome didn't even look like he was trying in the end while Porte was going as fast as possible. Unbelivable. Somethings not right.

Bad days for Quintana, Mollema and Martin, disaster for Tejay.

Good days for Porte, Froome, Yates.

They sacrificed Valverde for this???
Really? You've done nothing but said they should go for broke, risk it all on stages that don't fit them, and when they do, you bust them on it. LOL.

Really, I have to thank this forum. Any other year watching Porte pace Froome to the line would've been awful, but this year I have to admit a great deal of schadenfreude. Come on Mollema, you can pace Froome next stage!

Not trying to hype Froome but we haven't really seen him tested in the mountains. He could be keeping something in reserve if he feels in control. Remember, Olympics and the Vuelta is around the corner.

What a low quality field in this Tour. Contador gone, Nibali rode the Giro and isn't interested in GC here, Quintana not in form, Porte lost two minutes because of a flat tire and crashed at Ventoux, Valverde has the Giro in his legs, etc.

Or perhaps sky are just that much better?

He looks stronger than ever to me. Hasn't even been close to being in difficulty all tour. He's still got a gear or two extra if he needs it - but he won't, certainly not after the TT tomorrow.

Did anyone catch Poels dragging Mollema's **** over the line? Dom of #1 helping #2.

Well considering they are both from the same nation and he completed his primary task...

We should know tomorrow. I don't see him holding back in a time trial.
