Any news of rain over there?

I hope to see Quintana attacking on the HC climb, or at least a selective race there if he doesnt have team mates ahead.

I hope a very fast start and no break.
It is sunshine and blue skies as far as I can see from my bedroom window... (Which is towards the road up the Forclaz)

Is there a possibility that some of these riders can do something from a break away today: Vichot, Huzarski, Jelte-Slagter, Luis Leon Sanchez, Bakelants, Albasini, Voss, Lindeman, Losada, Delaplace, Schar, Irizar, Perichon, Moinard, Schillinger, Roux, Erviti, Tiralongo, Vicioso, Gastauer, Lemoine, Rast, Stetina, Koren, Bono, Wagner, Wynants, Tekleheimanot, Impey, Hansen or Cousin?

You'll have to be patient then ... probably Tour 2020 ....

They planned to do that before to tart this Tour. the problem now is that as we have showed last couple opf days, he has not the legs. Just little rain and we will see that.

I see is was raining over that part of the alps about 2 hours ago. and it could rain along the stage, That are good news for the race and not very good for Froome.

Usual break suspects Majka, De Gendt, Pantano, Navarro I reckon.

But if the favs don't go for the win today it'd be disappointing. It's been almost disrespectful the way they handed stages to the breaks so far imo.
Hoping for a Purito last hurrah! But probably Porte vs Froome.

I am staying in Combloux. It has been raining overnight but it looks to be clearing up now.
Clouds are gathering again where I live. Rain clouds around Semnoz but lighter clouds over towards la Forclaz de Montmin. There is still time for some rain.

What is sure iss that Mollema and Yates should fade a little and Purito, Bardet and Aru are in his terrain...If Quintana is till not well, it will be battle for the podium.

Never, ever made a prediction before - But I think Yates will fade a lot today and not make it back tomorrow either. No expert here, but he is very young remember. So I am predicting no podium for Yates. That's as far as I am willing to stick out my neck

It would be nice if Porte podiumed - but I am starting to think he is accursed by some sort of evil wizard who he angered in some way

"I know he's a good cyclist, but is he Lucky?"

It could be a really interesting race for the podium places. But there won't be, because the skytrain won't let go any attacks. So i guess it borefest again. I just saw footage of the second to last stage of 2009, (This tour was already extremly boring, exept 2-3 stages) and there were more attacks by Andy Schleck on Ventoux, then in this years tour by all contenders)

"I know he's a good cyclist, but is he Lucky?"

Sure he punctured at an unlucky point, but he/the team compounded the misfortune by not providing him with a teammate's bike. Instead they left him stranded on the side of the road, taking a minute or more to get a wheel change from the neutral service bike.

I guess at that point TJ was still the main focus on BMC, but in retrospect it was a huge mistake.

I would class "BMC thinking TJ is a better cyclist than you" as pretty much the epitome of bad luck. That and evil wizards. :)

Most likely no.

I wouldn't think any of those would be strong enough. Although I don't like the break's chances, I could see sky sending someone in the break who could be strong enough ... Nieve maybe.

surely no reason for QUintana not to attack right at the start

rumour has it, that Movistar/Nairo are taking it easy the next two days and planning a shell-shocking attack on the Champs taking 4m on the rest and the yellow jersey ....
