Why did Aru start the Tour so badly/////couldahve podiumed alongwith Porte ...maybe yet ???

He didn't really start that badly, he just lost 3'22" to Froome in the TT. Add in the descent and the echelons and he lost about a minute and a half in the climbs.

Aru's problem is that he's a very bad time trialist for a GC rider. Nothing to do with form.

^^ Not a bad start eh ? Would love to see your example of bad if that is not a bad start

Inmy book losing time like he did WAS a bad start

Well considering his TT skills losing 2 minutes to Froome would have been a great TT. So yes he didn't ride a great TT, but I'd say he lost at most 2 minutes in the first week or so to what he would have lost if he was great.

So i'll grant you it wasn't a very good start, but it simply wasn't bad. Below average at worst.

To be fair, it is pretty much the end of the tour, only 2 real stages to go.

It's great to see the best, most positive, braver, more attacking riders getting their wins while wheelsuckers get what they deserve. Great win from Froome.

Froome, Sagan and even Majka/de gent deserve their jerseys so much. Fantastic tour of Warriors (Froome, Cav, Sagan, etc.) Vs Wheelsuckers (Quintana, Tejay, Kittel, Kristoff, all of Loto/Greipel, etc.).

Shame Kittel got lucky in one stage. Hopefully Sagan smokes him in Paris.

Froome was close to certain to win following the Ventoux stage.

Can people stop comparing Armstrong to Froome! Can Mods stop these references please.
Whether you like SKY or not how can one not appreciate Froome's strength and all round incredible ability

Because apart from the personality differences (although killing a pet rabbit for fun doesn't say anything good about Froome :D ) the similarities between them and their teams is almost scary.

Makes no sense anyways, Armstrong used to lay down the law on the first MTF without fading in the 3rd week and win all TT's in the process.

Indeed, getting old and childish. Those tired playground jokes that stop making sense after 4th grade.

Stop it. He's the best climber, best time trialist and has the best team in the race, so comparisons to Armstrong are obvious. If you're interpreting negative shades of meaning on it then that's on you.
