Is everything a farce when your favourite doesn't win?

It's a good race, its not Froomes fault that Contador took himself out of the race and Nairo doesn't have it. Great race in prospect for the podium over the next few days.

No they havent. They are putting in a dominant performance, making a race for yellow pretty much a non-contest. Just because a team and its leader are better than the rest of the field doesnt make said race a farce.
It just means that we have a clear and well deserved winner

Remove Froome and Sky from this tour and we would likely have a magnificent sporting drama. A bit like the situation when Nibali won his tour.

Anyway congrats to Froome with the win.

Realistically speaking there were only 2 challengers to Froome in this TDF. Contador crashed and went home. Quintana got screwed by the winds and his ability to waiting for the correct moment to attack. Thereafter it was just the Froome show- Downhill attack and win, partnership with Sagan in the crosswinds, the "run-Froomey-run" incident on Ventoux, his 2 TT performances like 2014 was the Nibali show. not really the fault of Sky or Froome.

The only realistic challenger to Froome was Quintana, and ex ante, this was based on the reasonable assumption that the 26 year old Colombian would have improved upon his 2015 performance level and would not once again give away 2 minutes in a flat stage.

For whatever reason, Quinta is well short of the level he had last year. Thus, it has been a complete cakewalk for Froome.

Porte was riding a normal bike. He was quickest to top of Cote de Domancy - 13 sec faster than Aru. That augers well for the coming stages.

Because apart from the personality differences (although killing a pet rabbit for fun doesn't say anything good about Froome ) the similarities between them and their teams is almost scary.

not sure what the big deal is ... it was a rabbit . Id kill one to feed just about anyone including one of your pets.

it's amazing how one's success may sting some lads. prior the tour, froome considered the man race favorite, however hope was still alive. probably, he'll crash, God grant, he'll be demolished by other contenders or make a mistake on descent, but no...and the same people once again show inability to treat his win in cold blood with no sour grapes. hilarious stuff.
