also i don't think Quintana is planning any long range stuff, that would mean he feels weaker than Froome

Movistar is simply after team classification :D
Why? He needs minutes before the ITT, mano a mano on Aubisque if Froome doesn't crack is hardly achievable so the best bet is a long range with a few guys helping out down the road. Hope that's the plan.

Can anyone confirm if Carthy is in this break or not? Really good to see Pardilla there.

Some serious climbers in this break, and best of all de Clercq seems to be recovering well from that crash. Stage suits him down to the ground to salvage something from this race.

The Sky train is chuggin' along ... Froome must feel good.

Do you realize that the fact Sky is on the front has nothing to do with how Froome feels?

Have you actually seen him? Only Kirby originally listed him but then said later that he'd be surprised if he is actually there as was apparently suffering badly yesterday.

Bilbao and Pardilla definitely there.

About this strategy... What will Movistar actually do when Froome drops at least Valverde on the Penultimate stage, and also drops Quintana at least on the descent?

Anyway, if not for Sky, Dani Moreno would win this Vuelta easily. Just imagine that.

I think he's the Caja hanging out at the back. I could be wrong though, i'm just going by the long arms....

Edit: Maybe not then.

Well, he won his only GT with a long range attack though there was a certain red flag involved.
