There are 10 kms of flat between Taaienberg and Kruisberg. The big group can catch Phil there. If not, then on the flat between Kruisberg and Kwaremont.

The reason why the gap isn´t going down is that the only team that would be capable of doing so is Quickstep and they´re obviously not going to ride.

Yeah, there also was a flat section between the Koppenberg and the Mariaborrestraat and Gilbert expanded his advantage there. The problem is that there aren't enough domestiques in the chase group and they aren't working together.
