Disgusting commentating on Sporza. Not caring about the team car putting Gilbert out of the wind while they where furious in G-W about Sagan and Terpstra getting a tow.
Exactly what I thought as well.

nationalistic commentators? what even never heard this happen before
You didn't hear what they said. They were literally fuming at G-W and mentioned it several times. Now they laughed at Gilbert asking the team car to keep him out of the wind. Nationalistic commentators aren't new but this was really silly. Have to stay somewhat objective.

PhilGil RvV 2017 > Spartacus P-R 2010

Nah, not really. Spartacus just destroyed everyone and was able to take out 3 minutes on his rivals.

Gilbert would have suffered greatly to hold the gap without the Sagan crash. Epic win ofcourse, but i think Cance's PR win was even more impressive.

Philippe Gilbert, by far the best classics specialist of his generation: Ronde van Vlaanderen, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Giro di Lombardia (twice) and the World Championships.

Wuyts is really bad, De Cauwer is usually okay.

Re: 2017 Tour of Flanders / Ronde Van Vlaanderen - April 2,

Only active rider to have three different monuments, only the second Walloon winner in Flanders ever (Criquelion the other). Wow.

Also LOL at Sagan crashing out because he tried to ride in the gully. Them's the breaks karma offers.

Ronde van Vlaanderen when the favourite crashes out, Liege-Bastogne-Liege in the absence of the best ardennes specialist of his era, Valverde

Someone had to do a pistolero
