Nice! Been there a couple of times. Climbed it by bike, but the last time I was running. I read Tom D thought it was more like 7% instead of 9%. I can remember it felt like 20 to me

Gruzdev won the Asian Championships Time Trial, that's why I guess.

Germany with three riders because of Tony Martin (World Champion)
Belgium with three riders because of Victor Campenaerts (European Champion)

And it must be the same with the African, Asian, Oceanian and Pan-American champions.

Down the Mount Floyen, I guess.

Will be interesting who's going to opt for a bike switch. Especially amongst the favourites.
I suppose very few of them.
Aero wheels and rests might be the best option.

In this case it can be broken in dilemma whether to risk 10-20 seconds in a race that could be decided by 10-20 seconds or stick to one setup.

Actually some think it will be decided by the endurance of the mechanic pushing the rider AFTER the bike change . There is no Jamaica team, but with Usain Bolt as Mechanic they would have a chance..

Does the bike change have to be executed from a team car or a mechanic can wait with a bike on a sidewalk?
Makes a difference.

They should make a bike change lane so that they can immediately disqualify, on the spot, anyone who takes a push. It's a planned bike change, you can't put it on the small ring beforehand? This is making a mockery of the individual time trial.

There is a bike change pit lane .. And i also think there is allowed to push the rider .. Its right before the hill so push wont help for long..

Changing bike or not - they all should pass through the climb start ramp, I meant.
And it (the ramp) could be designed like a tent... circus tent.

Well, it is a disgrace of a WCTT course. By all means make it hilly, but adding a "MTF" that isn't part of any of the other courses?! Hell no. Not to mention the distance...

And the whole setup with planned bike changes is such a gimmick

Austria has exactly one world class time trialist - Brändle. He is also in great form, just won the time trial of the Tour of Denmark. But who is starting? Preidler (which is ok) and Zoidl (when was his last good time trial?)...
