Did you really expect something else?
Not really but with this weather and so far a pretty good coverage today I was simply impressed[/quote]

Thanks just wondering as some riders have a neck scarf on, others a gilet and one or two like valverde a Gabba like jersey on

Wait... I'm a bit confused. I thought you were a bit ironic and commenting about the lack of excitement so far.

Vincenzo Nibali will win this bike race

Moscon today: "Nibali is our leader, was from the beginning, now he's feeling good and we try to support him the best we can"

Since the chase started the gap has gone up, a long day awaits the French domestiques.
Good, hope it goes up to 18-20 min to add a little drama.
They can get 25 minutes and it wouldn't be a problem.

In Geelong, the peloton had to hurry up in the end not be lapped on the course (and be taken out of the race), heh

Yes, but big teams will have to dedicate their climbers with 180km to go. I don't expect Anthony Roux to close this on his own.

There's a bluff game going on between the big teams now. With a gap of almost twenty minutes we're close to the point where somebody will have to work. Everybody is hoping that someone else will do it.

I'm gonna call it now!

HNIK FOR WORLD CHAMPION! :p

Why Hnik? Coz he's the most random guy in the break.

Obviously Conor Dunne will win cause he only has to gain his own height in altitude like 3 times per lap

It remains one of the weirdest things in cycling that a group with a twenty minute lead can have no chance at all. Try to explain that to people who don't follow cycling.

Contrast with the Women's where they raced pretty much from the start but race was put to bed very early.

Well I was also mentioning it because they were showing the scenery all the time as nothing was going on but it wasn't really meant sarcastically :D

If they're forced to race a bit hard early to catch up, not many are gonna finish the race...

This.

I for one hope that the break doesn't win. One of my personal favs who is an outsider like Krueziger, Fuglsang or Jungels would be nice. If it is one of the main favourites then I would like to see Valverde finally win gold.

And if Sagan somehow won then it would be great too.

Oh, and Mjentis. Because that would make the forum really happy :D

Meintjes isn't even riding, I believe.
