Good prologue by Alpine Serbs.
Rogla's not easing off since he started racing this season. Giro will be a tough race to predict, judging by recent performances.
Wonder what else (besides the trials) Tratnik can target here and maybe in Italy afterwards.

After Amstel he said that Romandie would be his last race before taking a break. So no Giro for him, I guess
Yes, I saw there wasn't Giro in his schedule, but thought it might be 'cause nothing's defined yet (except Nibali's core support).
He'll certainly ride something before his home tour comes around.

Expected more from:
Evenepoel (14s)
Spilak (15s)
Benett (16s)
Zakarin (17s)
Mäder (27s)
Kudus (28s)

The course seemed more technical than the map had me believe. That might have something to do with it.

Mäder is in his first race back from injury. Don't expect too much from him this week.

Great ride by both Tratnik and Roglic today, I was expecting the sprinter guys to be much closer though.

Looks like a hard stage. It all depends on how it is raced but on paper it looks a bit too hard for Colbrelli.

Normally, this would be your typical Albasini stage but I don't know if he is past his prime. There are some good puncheurs like Bevin, Prades and perhaps even Van Baarle or Swift who can win from a very reduced group.

Dimension Data's Jacques Janse van Rensburg was forced out of the Tour de Romandie on Tuesday, crashing only metres after finishing the prologue time trial. The South African broke his collarbone after allegedly falling as a result of some electrical-cable coverings on the ground.

The team also claimed in the press release that some similar cable covering was responsible for Mitchelton-Scott rider Sam Bewley's pre-race crash.

Mitchelton-Scott confirmed that the New Zealander had crashed while doing a reconnaissance ride of the prologue course earlier in the day, which means that he'll miss the upcoming Giro d'Italia after being left with a dislocated shoulder.

Very bad organizing - hope the two teams complain long and loud to the organizers.

They pass the Cote de la Sagne twice.

Yep, they pass the finish after 115 km and loop back. Last 4km are slightly downhill so could be a small group sprint.

well, you could see the cable on tv, and basically all other 138 riders hopping over it. There's no other way to do it.
