Unpopular opinion but I wish Caruso wouldn't win a stage because if you're going to be a surprise Zubeldia, winning stages attracts too much attention and spoils the effect.

I know, right? Caruso has blown his chance at the Zubeldia Ninja award.

If your team says "we don't care about podium we'll try everything to win", then you do nothing to try and win but do ride after those who do to protect your podium, then that's not exactly unfair criticism.

Without Martinez Bernal would have had to pace himself more and do more work on the front. It's far from a given that he would have close to the same difference vs the rest.
