They were all at the limit. It's not like Formolo and Mollema just stopped pushing and let Bouwman get back.

I think this may be one of the stages with only breakaway action I have enjoyed the most ever. Quite different to the average Vuelta stage with no noteworthy riders in the fight.

Kämna is just having fun . I believe that he won't contest the GC but I never saw him so good in the first week. Normally he gets better and better in a Grand Tours.

That was fun to watch. It’s kind of amazing that Bouwman doesn’t have more wins in his career. He’s such a well rounded rider, with a really sharp finishing kick, that he ought to be winning much more often.

Kamna is super strong at the moment but Blockhaus shapes as being a proper GC day (especially with a rest day the day after, Ineos and Bahrain will ensure the break doesn’t win). Will be really interesting to see who the strongest climber is at the moment. I have no real feel for it but I’m leaning towards Landa.

Kämna likes his mountain stages hard, the harder the better for him.
He was really strong on the Foix stage of the 2019 Tour.

Time limits are a joke in the Giro, like missing one these days should be a 3 month suspension, not just getting kicked from the race.

I think at the start of Sirino they were already minutes behind.
