No chance the VDP group catches now I think. Schmid, Martin and Poels would need to kill themselves and why do that when Ghirmay beats you then. VDP looks wrecked, he'll probably finish 9th.

Gaburro has to be the only rider who has improved after leaving Bahrain and going to Vini Zabu and now Bardiani.

Mathieu needs some Tirreno legs vs Fabbro to pull this of. But it doesn't looks like he's the strongest today. The 10km solo in the beginning wasn't so smart

He's working the most though it seems so not sure what's he got left.
Doesn’t he always have a lot left on his breakaway stages—and this time he’s not out there by himself? Probably will be decided on the upcoming climb that starts with 10k to go.

De gendt needs to try to attack soon; if it works let vanhoucke sit on rather than try to do a traditional leadout.
