If your team still has 3 guys or more in that group and you don't ride, you should get kicked out of the WT.

We can blame the peloton. They just start the chase way too late. Also there are teams like Arkea, EF etc. With multiple guys there who are not contributing at all.

they make this race boring. Not Pogacar.
When Pogacar takes 80 seconds on a single sector there's nothing you can do.

Pogacar is great but this is a 50 men peleton that's treating him as if he's a Gazprom rider.
Surely DQS or Movistar guys can't be thaaat cooked to not organize a competent chase.

I think that everyone got a bit surprised and without an immediate plan to respond. The lack of other clear favourites also helps; most teams/riders with an eye in winning were probably planning to just go along that take their chances. Ala’s crash also contributed to this lack of grade A competition.

No, Pogacar is making this boring. And he’s going to make a lot of races very boring for a long time. Truly dominant champions sound interesting in retrospect but at the time they are always truly boring .

Rodriguez is having a fantastic breakthrough season having been brought along nicely by Ineos but it is a damning indictment of the peloton that they are not reeling him in.
Sensational from Pogi.

Pog can win basically any race he wants

Sure, but I dont think we should take it for granted either. Anything can happen. Enjoy these type of moments (not saying this directly to you).

Feel like people were screaming for this a few years ago and this type of aggressive racing. Now when it is happening from different riders a lot more frequently its boring... just goes to show you that people are never gonna be happy. No matter what.

completely disagree.

what one remembers of cycling history is the exploits, rarely when ten riders finished in the same minute.

If that will be Remco(for real only in dreams) or MVDP... you will be writing how legendary, smart, good solo it is etc... If Pogacar wins finish sprint is not right, if wins solo 50km to go is not right..
I think this is more exciting race, than bunch sprint at the end.
A bunch sprint can be chaotic, and it wouldn’t likely be a bunch sprint, because of the wall of a climb right before the finish and the technical turns before the finish. A solo is nearly not as exciting.

These graphics are obviously rubbish gimmicks but it's kinda hilarious to have them showing "10% in the red zone" for Pogacar while he's continuously increasing his gap over a 50 men peleton.

Yes, close races are never remembered. What's the most famous Tour? What's the most fondly-remembered Paris-Roubaix of the past decade, the Boonen solo or the Hayman win. What about the AGR Van der Poel won, 10+ riders within 10 seconds, forgettable right?
