An exciting stage, with good sensations from a couple young guys (Remco and Ayuso). Mas looking much better than earlier in the year. Podium a possibility for him. Roglic, not surprisingly, looks like he's still feeling effects of the TDF crash and/or missed training, and/or the progress of time. But what a fighter. Great day for Vine, of course.

Looks like Lopez dropped off the group of favourites in the final K. But given the conditions and his recent GT performances, that's a relatively decent result.

Great win for Vine. Nice ride by Remco. Roglic and Hindley not having great days. Carapaz dropped early. O'Connor was unlucky to puncture just before the last climb.

Today makes the race really interesting. Ineos and Bora still have multiple leaders that are kinda close. They can plan multiple raids, Roglic will attack, Ayuso and Vine will have good legs again. This will be a great Vuelta

How deep did Evenepoel go today, seems like his sprint was still ok? so did he full throttle this climb or kept something in reserve given its a GT?

I suspect the guys 1:40 min behind did go deeper... :D
Mas looks good though, finally again at his level.

yes Mas could have won the Vuelta today

You ride with your head as well as your legs

What if your head decides that you are probably going to blow up if you try taking pulls? Could you be throwing a huge time gap into the bin? That's also a head decision, the head ain't just about willpower and willpower will only give you that much, it is not a miracle devise that makes you ride faster.

Remco showing once again why he will never, ever win a Grand Tour. It's all well and good beating Jay Vine in the Tour of Norway, but come the Vuelta he can't get near him?

The 'next Merckx' getting beat by a gamer! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall the Cannibal ever losing to the Super Mario champion of the world.
