A finish around Chieti would just make this stage so much more interesting to follow. I never really understood why you have to put stages like this on the weekend, but I say that every year, so I realize I sound like a broken record.

The weekend/week day 'problem' is pretty straight forward - in the weekend, you can choose to watch it all if you deem it interesting enough (which I do in Flanders and Roubaix, for example, or lots of the TdF-stages last year), where as week days is usually just 1 or maybe 2 hours.I never saw a problem with weekend/week day stages.
And this is the only flat stage until the last Wednesday of the race, so I think we will survive.
