Sometimes teams ride in a way that’s best for themselves. Keep a high pace and discourage attacks is better for Thomas, they can’t be bothered about Remco just now.

It's harsh on Leknessund etc but Evenepoel is too strong, I suppose you have to find ways to screw with him.

Well, one might argue that Ineos was trying to prevent a late Remco attack with their pacing, but more realistically they were just programmed 15 years ago and haven't been updated since.

That was an incredibly disappointing stage once the breakaway formation was done. Soudal probably won't be this vulnerable every time, yet nobody tried to take advantage, and the stage win fight was very predictable too.
