It's a pity if that happens. i would expect Ineos to play there numbers especially today and/or tomorrow. Those stages are easy enough that a Sivakov, de Plus or Arensman could be a factor + still hard enough to test what Quick-Step and Jumbo have in the tank. If they are waiting for Crans-Montana it could be too late by then. Croix-de-Couer could be to hard to start something... except if Sivakov legs are pure gold this Giro.

Wdym? He's almost 8min behind. They will obviously easily bring back a few minutes. It would be perfect for them if someone takes away some boni seconds.
You'd imagine so but way they're riding, it could easily go out more before it starts going back. Also l, when they're leaving it this far out, they have to ride all the time but if it was closer, other teams would take it up if stage is there.

Just seems a bit weird of a ride imo.

DSM does not want other teams to start riding, they want the stage to go to the breakaway obviously. It's 3 riders. They have to get at least 15 minutes to have 8 minutes at the finish.

What the hell are ineos, jumbo and UAE waiting? They need to make the race hard to try to take time on remco in the last climb.
They don't want to help Quick Step at all throughout the race. Which actually is good news. Just not today. If Quick Step doesn't want to chase. No need for them to do instead for an uphill sprint!

They'll attack left and right from Wednesday on.

Gran Sasso d'Italia 100% lives from the fact, Pantani won on top of it in 1999. Otherwise it's a mediocre climb. Sportive seen. The scenery is beautiful.

It's going to be super prestigious for Vacek & Corratec though. Even for Bais & Petilli.

So I'm happy with the breakaway taking the stage if it happens. If it means that Grand Bernardo-Croix de Coeur-Crans Montana is raced offensively then
