Yes, that there are riders whom you do not wish success just because they happen to ride for a team that doesn't design good jerseys. It must be quite weird for you to watch an NC race - it must be quite a different mindset you have there as opposed to regular races.

Sure, I can see how it would have been a great personal success for Bjerg, and liking weird patterns like I do, I could definitely have seen the fun if this year we'd had a married couple share the jersey between them, after it was siblings last year.

Antonia Niedermaier is about to accomplish what her teammate Ricarda Bauernfeind did last year: Ride the fastest the ITT, but only win the U23 title.

At the third split the top 3 (Koch, Kröger, and Fox) are only seperated by 2 seconds, but they're 30 seconds off Niedermaier's pace.

Edit: Koch lost a lot of time in the end and finished behind Clara Koppenburg; almost a minute behind Niedermaier.

Swedish road races are cancelled because people living along the course claimed they couldn’t access their houses during the race. The authorities then revoked the permission two days ahead of the race.

I guess it’s pretty much sums up how bad the situation is for this sport in Sweden. But atleast we have Jenny Rissveds!
Bad news. But good to get a heads up, as I was planning to watch some of the races in person.

Canadian ITT nats

Elite women
1. Paula Findlay (pro triathlete)
2. Olivia Baril (UAE-Team ADQ)
3. Jenna Nestman

Elite men
1. Derek Gee (Israel-Premier Tech)
2. Michael Leonard (Ineos)
3. Nickolas Zukowsky (Q36.5)

Findlay and Gee both also won the time trial national championship in 2022. Leonard is listed as U23 so I guess he wins that title, though that's not a jersey he'll get to wear anywhere that I can think of.

Italian road race is today. Two long circuits around Terme di Comano, before getting onto the shorter circuit around Cavrasto. In itself not the hardest climb on the planet, but 9x will do some damage. Hard to see who's going to beat Ciccone here, but he only has Baroncini and Mosca with him.

Didn't even realise there was a specific amateur race in France. But I guess they do have quite a lot of licensed riders, and having everyone ride together would make for a pretty big peloton.

And that leads me to a question; is there actually a limit to how many riders teams can bring for the ITT? Amateur riders participated alongside the pros in that race, and I'm guessing if every single French rider - from WT to amateur - decided to do the ITT, it... could take a while. Maybe even long enough that they'd need to hold it over several days.
