Niewiadoma could have been forced to make up over a minute after the ITT though. With a very strong team around her it obviously wouldn't have been impossible, but definitely not a given ether.

I doubt SD Worx can bring back this group. I am sick of NFB being on the front of the peleton, which also indicates they brought an unbalanced team to the giro. I am surprised that a couple of other teams did not throw riders in the last break.

I agree. As soon as there was no chance to bring the break back, NFB should have stopped working and support Kopecky on the last climbs. Instead she wasted so much energy that she could't support Kopecky anymore on the last climbs.

Is it confirmed that she'll be riding the Omnium?
With Balsamo having experienced yet another setback last week, it is probably the most likely scenario no matter what, unless Paternoster gets sick or injured before or during the games.

With Balsamo having experienced yet another setback last week, it is probably the most likely scenario no matter what, unless Paternoster gets sick or injured before or during the games.

She’s been doing it the last track meetings for Italy and always fighting for the overall victory so I thought she was the one doing it. But I don’t know if there are enough riders for everything, maybe she has to ride another discipline some days earlier.

I’m still waiting for them to announce it. I can get a ticket for the last day with the omnium. Hoping to see Letizia vs Lotte again.

I assume her spot in the TP is safe, but I have no idea which duo they believe the most in for the Madison. It's probably still Balsamo and Guazzini, but if one isn't on her best form, they have multiple options.

Consonni also in great form again. She replaced Balsamo last time in Belgium. They have multiple options for every discipline.
I hope they confirm it sooner rather than later so I can decide if I go to Paris for the Omnium.

Love to see them with a win in the TP, so all of them get a gold medal.

Edit: I see Balsamo is selected for the road race. Can she do both?

I guess we can't rule out them cloning Chiara and Letizia so they could ride all disciplines, but let's hope they'll still give you enough reason to attend the events.
