I think all these riders have an ego that's not too small and like to show themselves and be protagonists (although it might be more effective if there are actually live pictures...) Not too bad for the races.

Exactly how was Vansevenant THE favourite for this race? There are plenty of young, promising riders at the startlist. Of course he is/was one of the top contenders but he isnt exactly head and shoulders above this field.

I was only partly serious. But he definitely could. The point was that he suffered from the TT being a TTT and would otherwise have been in the mix for the overall win.

So the stage five results of the UAE Tour is looking strong form - Pogacar who was second went on to win UAE Tour and TA, Yates who was third won today at Catalunya and is the one to beat for GC, Vingegaard who won that UAE Stage then backs up today in Coppa Bartoli and is in the leaders, while Schultz who was 6th in that UAE stage, finished 3rd in todays stage of Coppa Bartoli and is third in GC.
