Ofcourse that part of Dumoulin is more a joke. He said they needed to change the course as right now the riders are suffering big time all the time, while the people that watch the race are bored to death.
He's right about that, but when asked what he would change he pretty much said he doesn't really know. Well for starters change the finish back to Maastricht, but that's also more a reference to the fact that Maastricht is his hometown. Then he came up with the last quote.

So what he says is that he doesn't know the solution either, but that right now it is crap.

If it's possible to work out a race finale like in the Ronde you could surely add ten flat kilometers from Cauberg to Maastricht. I have no idea, if this is possible.

There aren't many teams who have the men to do it, but the teams who do, rather prefer to keep a quiet pace and then sprint up 1 hill

There isn't a very big Betancur hype, there has mostly been a lot of laughs about Bananito in that thread.

Felline isn't going to win either though. He had a good chance here, the best chance of the week. He's going to the Giro right? A few of the stages there suit him.

Even with a broken nose, he could've stayed in the race today. Once the bleeding has been staunched, it's not like a broken nose affects you that much. There's a nice thing called mouth you can breathe through.
