Isn't Cadel riding this?
Nope, he has 'prior commitments' but I get the feeling he has taken a lot of time off to be with family for a while as they had been on a holiday around Provence. He also has to be at the tdf presentation on the 18th so it would be hard to get to that if he were at the Sun Tour.

Well I was sent this

So it seems I was right about where the Thursday stage finishes at the top of the brief climb rather than going on another kilometre into the city. Unfortunately I have no chance of making it now. Not sure about the weekend.

So two stages live on the weekend but no highlights on the weekday stages?

I was in a race with him a couple of weeks ago. I'm busting my **** trying not to get dropped and move forward in the bunch, and here he is cruising around in the small chain ring without breaking a sweat. ****.

BTW, I ended getting dropped

The last couple of times this event ran Saxo Bank, then Sky, dragged the rest of the peloton (a couple of American teams, the rest Aussie continental) round Victoria.

Might be a very hard race for the local guns with half a dozen international teams here.

Not completely - yes Saxo with Stuey O'Grady in 2008 but Wiggo was still with Garmin Slipstream when he won in 2009 (albeit his last race before he went to Sky). In each case their respective teams were the only Pro Tour level teams in the race.

And yes the locals will be run ragged - whilst there have pretty much always been a number of international teams in the last few years there were certainly not 4 Pro Tour teams plus a 5th likely to be there in 2012 in Skil Shimano (which boasts one of the top 3-4 sprinters in the world and a strong team otherwise). There is even a ghost 6th 2012 Pro Tour team present but spread over a few teams i.e. GreenEdge (Bobridge, Cooke, Docker, Lloyd (?), Meyer, Meyer, Wilson - I am sure I have missed someone but it is hard to get teams info in any one place)!

Dark horse Docker to slip away in an early break and hold it to the end.

Lancaster too! In fact except for Haussler, Garmin is clearly on the verge of turning green with all other riders making the change. [I missed the helpful list posted by the OP.]

Lloyd has got this if the race is hard enough. If he wins Arthurs' seat and makes sure no breaks go with his SMALL TEAM ( who can't do much ) he can win this.

Highlights are shown live on a live stream on Cycling Central site I think

Lloyd doesn't have the race fitness. Doubt he will do much against some of the top pros.

It's really cool what Wade Wallace is doing. He is setting up similar to Dutch Corner on Alpe D'Huez and calling it Bay 13 after the Bay where all the chats go up at MCG in the Boxing Day Test match. People are dressing pink and it will be on the section which is at 16%!

I like the composite team, Lloyd for Arthurs Seat ad Wesley for the sprint. Jack Anderson from Endura too, riding in front of an Aussie will be good, spent a lot of time over on the Euro Conti circuit.

streaming video

I'd expect some basic stage highlights to go up on SBS's Cycling Central each night, but there's no live streaming of the first three stages.

Live stream for last two stages on Cycling Central, not sure whether it's georestricted to Australia only.

Peloton seems to have got it under control, who knows if they can bring it back though. 5'30" with 80km to go.
