6 man teams perhaps?auscyclefan94 said:so some of the domestic teams did well and PC and WT teams didn't dominate or control thinks like expected...interesting
Partly yes, but partly because the smaller teams can cause some havoc for other teams. People were trying to claim that the big teams were going to diminate. Continental riders beat many WT riders today.User Guide said:6 man teams perhaps?

This stage seems to have shaken up the overall gc a fair bit. I get the feeling the 2nd group was a fair bit behind.
Tuarts said:Rofl. Think about your terminology. You can't shake up a GC that hasn't even commenced yet. It's Stage 1. This should change the complexion of the final GC. It should change who the final players are but it can't shake up anything that's not there.
Pity we couldn't watch that stage either, other than Arthur's Seat likely to be the best racing we'll see/watch highlights of. It was a very PCM-esque break away there. With a small peloton (sub 100 riders), a 16 man break which got time was always going to be tough to bring back. Bobridge in a break away has been deadly this year. As for the GC. Bobridge, Jorgensen and Haas now have a real chance for it. AS wont create such time gaps as 10 minutes unless something complete ****s up. Imagine if Bobridge does well up there...all the "Jacky is a future climbing great" fans will come out of the woodwork.![]()

They clearly weren't: a simple English spelling correction of a common English language expression.theyoungest said:How was my comment in any way personal?
