Peter Velits could do a good job here, agree with those backing Brajkovic
I think that it will be nice to see this kind of heavier GC rider battling it out with riders like ricco forced to attack the flatter parcours and tt brings a lot of different riders into play

Stage 5 finish looks good for Rodriguez (if he rides) or Ricco or Samu or Evans. A selection on the cat.1 followed by a sprint from a small group. Or Sagan.

I would repeat that I think Peter Sagan could be a major player in the race again. It was at this race that he really arrived last year, and he's not a bad climber-that's what's so remarkable about him-possibly good enough for that parcours. Bonifications from sprints were important in last year's race, and he may be the best equipped to gain the most of those. But the TT may put him out of contention.

Nicolas Roche is another who should show up. I remember him running himself ragged in this race last year, but unable to get a stage. He's developing steadily, so he should be able to do more this time.

Jakob Fuglsang and Christophe Le Mevel are others appearing on a startlist who have possibilities.

[edit] Evans at T-A, sorry.

Climbs of Paris Nice 2011

Just put in 6 of the 10 climbs in the Alps of the Paris Nice 2011 tour in my website.
http://www.cyclingthealps.com
I tried hard, very hard but I cannot find the other 4 climbs.
- Côte de Gabris (683m)
- Côte du Mont Meaulx (280m)
- Côte des Tuillieres (386m)
- Col de Calaïson (450m)

I would really appreciate any help on finding these other climbs so I can finish presenting Paris Nice 2011 on Cycling the Alps.

5 of the 6 passes have a streetview tour. So you can really see how steep they are. :)
The Col d'eze is not that steep.

Cheers

Dennis

Jani has never been in good shape before April, so I don't expect he'll end up in top 5 overall.

My bet is on Kreuziger.

Not really, Boom can force his way up hills but he wouldn't be in the top 20-30 climbers in the race (of which many will be just as good in the TT). Look at last year when he went up hill.

Wo will be the leader in Sky team? Wiggins or Rogers?

Most likely Rogers.

Most likely Rogers.

It could be, but Wiggins this year would like to win some races before the Tour and this one can be a good chance for him..

I disagree, I think the Tour will be his sole focus. Wiggins still hasn't achieved anything on a road bike outside the 2009 Tour so there's no reason to expect him to start showing up to 5 races a year as a true contender.

Rogers on the other hand is a proven stage racer who has zero ambitions in the Tour.

It makes sense that you would play to each of their strengths.

If Wiggins wants to feature before the Tour this Paris-Nice certainly has a route suited to his abilities.

I'll top that by saying I will carry around an I love Wiggins signature if that happens.

Murcía, Limousin, Missouri, Bayern and California.

Yeah pretty much any of those are better for him than the Dauphinée, although it does generally have a nice long flat chrono for him.
