Do you think that's a DSQ? I'm not sure. A bit of argy-bargy used to be normal in racing, you had to fight a bit.

Everyone is talking about GVA vs Sagan vs QS, but what about Juraj Sagan? 14th place? Where did that come from? Couple of years back he wasn´t even able to finish these types of races.

Juraj is a very good pro. He wasn't always but he is now. He would have no problem holding down a WT contract even if he didn't have the name Sagan.

well, sagan warned everybody, but mainly quicksteppers that he can decide who will win. In MSR, he decided it will be Kwiat, today, he decided it will be gva.

Now kidding aside, Sagan imho wouldn't have won against GvA today. As he seems never to do in these kind of finales. What he did today, was probably for Lefevre to realize, that GvA can't be let go. Sagan will probably drop everybody on Kwaaremont Paterberg duo, but he need's to get there in a way, when he can finish it alone, or without GvA, unless they have 1 min gap on Paterberg on the chasers, and even then I would favor GvA.

We'll see, but it should be a great spectacle on Sunday. I am glad GvA returned to the game as cycling fan, as Sagan's a little bet less. Let the best of those two win. If they splitted ToF and PR with PR to Sagan, I wouldn't care.

And this might kill GvA's chances of ever winning RvV.

Terpstra wanted a free ride and did not get it.

Hats off to Keukeliere - He drilled if for around 3kms at at about the 20km mark, to split the lead group from 14 to 5 - Impressive riding.

I'm not sure entirely. Sagan has successfuly sent a message to steppers: I'm not the only rider you have to mark. Which is good for Sagan. And maybe he's sent one more message - I'm not so predictable as you think and even fool enough to lose big time.

On the other hand, I have mixed feelings about his attempts to play Cancellara-like mind games on Friday and today. Psychology is not his territory, he should just follow moves or better create some and shred them all off on Oude Kwaremont and Pattersberg. And hope for luck in Roubaix.

It's looking increasingly like Sagan got very lucky that GVA crashed out of RVV last year - otherwise he'd probably be monument-less. GVA is better tactically and the stronger sprinter from a small breakaway - Sagan will need a lot of luck to win again next week.

No question mark in my book, considering the way he destroyed GvA in Richmond.

QuickSteps tactics absolutely baffled me today. I thought Terpstra initially did well by playing it hard. He's never going to finish podium in a sprint and the chances of winning solo are slim with the riders he had with him. However, when GVA and Keukeleire were gone, he suddenly started chasing again. Playing poker is going all or nothing.

But then, if you decide to play poker, why not chase in the background, and put some pressure on Sagan and van Avermaet? They had six riders in the peloton and should have chased it down for either Boonen or Gaviria to sprint. Now they're with empty hands and are once again the laughing stock.
