I think Mäder was one of the best, and he yesterday died from a terrible, violent fall the day before. It was in his home country. I think, everyone now should do what they want to do, and how they feel.
Possibly there won‘t be any real racing today, at all. And maybe that‘s good. I don‘t know.
I mean, apparently, a really good human, a really good person has died. In a violent way. I understand that probably many riders at the moment in TdS are too shocked and too much in grief to really race with concentration and motivation.
It‘s about pleasure for riders, staff, and spectators. But what happened is so terrible that it doesn’t allow any pleasure any more, at this year’s edition of the race…
