Surely any discussion of AFL steroid use has to include "The King" Carey! Just look at his arms in the '96 Grand Final! My God-he was more obviously juiced up that year than Bjarne!

Not particularly surprising that his form waned as his arms shrunk.

If Carlton goes out in straight sets I will wet myself with laughter. That would be priceless.

We're used to watching Collingwood supporters p**s themselves.Fits in well with those toothless grins. :D

Noooo... Geebus, Now I have to sack him from my Supercoach team! Sheesh.

Good player, but that's one of the dumbest things an AFL player (or any sportsman) could do... All for a $10 bet!!! Dumb dumb dumb.

Edit: Just watched presser.. Ed NOT happy. Lucky to only get 8.

The Melbourne v Port match is such a foregone conclusion Port should just save everyone the time & forfeit.Might even save themselves an injury or two,and their 15 fans will appreciate not feeling the need to sit through yet another shellacking.

Though it gives the rest of us a laugh.

Well we were competitive but we were outclassed in the last quater and Browny injured his face again (gotta have a operation for the other side of the face :()

The season from here on end is going to be a ripper....

1&2 all tied at the top

Hawthorn, Carlton and West Coast within 4 points of each other going for 3-5th.

6-11th within 2 games of each other - Freo with 36 points, Essendon & sydney on 34, melbourne and saints on 40 and the Kangaroos & Doggies 28.

This is going to be fun..... :D

uhhff poor game by the eagles.
the mistakes in the last qtr... :|

Did you go to the game?

They came back strongly after the Saints strong start.

On Jonathan Brown, he really didn't need to go for that mark. Some people call what he did brave but I think many times those types of incidents are reckless and show stupidity on behalf of the person who finds themselves injured.

Im a Swans fan here too, I have a feeling they are going to end up like the Kangaroo's , being too good to get decent draft picks but not good enough to compete with the top guns.

I hope St Kilda's form keeps improving would love to see if they could have an impact if they make the finals

man that was a tense finish.
1 point baby :D

we gave away 3 stupid goals from 50m penalties.
And we had a terrible conversion rate.

still we took the 4 points all is well.

So does Geelong's demolition earn them any more respect;or are Melbourne just that pitiful we should have expected more of a thrashing?

Any respect for Port Adelaide? Seems they have none for themselves,so I fail to see why they deserve any.

No more respect, but definitely Geelong's performance has been lost in the brouhaha over Melbourne's dismal effort. Geelong have leaders all over the field... Melbourne have none.

Geelong are a serious challenger to Collingwood... injuries will (as always) play a huge part in September.

Port... who cares... not even their supporters apparently?

port can't even win when they're the only team on the paddock.

and as for melbourne, they're an absolute disgrace and a basketcase.

the players should have been made to hand back their jumpers on saturday afternoon. their supporters would be justifiably ropeable.

Adam Goodes miss hurt? Which one? Mate of mine had a $100 multi-bet going to win $4800 that required Swans to win... life can be cruel.

I think Sydney are dead ducks now , cant see them even making the finals now . Would love the Saints to find an extra 10% to challenge but cant see it happening without Hayes
