So I'm left winged-PC because I support women cycling?

I'm triggered.

On topic, I'm done making predictions after the Fóia fail. That said, Rui Costa. :D

No, thats not what I said. I pointed out that thinking women's cycling is boring and not paying attention to it is not sexist. Quite a big diffence :D

He really should win this, but i expect a close battle with G. Thomas... I think he's peaking right now, where Contador is building up. Contador also have to come from behind after the prologue.

And you this how ???

Gawd the stuff people say on here ...Known fact Geraint Thomas is targeting the Tour this year ?? So he is peaking now because ?

yes, that's quite logical, isn't that? and yet it can be brought as an excuse unless bertie wins. :p i think he'll easily take p-n, though.

Well he doesn't know that is why he used the words 'I think' to indicate it was an opinion. People are allowed to express opinions here aren't they? One can disagree without getting all unpleasant about it.

I don't think it will be easy for him to win at all, in the prologue he will probably lose time to Thomas and Porte, on the gravel roads on stage 1 he could lose time too, Madone d'Utelle isn't hard enough to take time and he could even lose time (see Alto da Foía) so the only opportunity is Mont Brouilly, and while he could take time there it will be limited because the climb is only 3km long, so gaps will most likely be similar to Malhão at best.
Edit: the Nice stage is an opportunity too but it is hard to take time there, he managed it in 2007 and 2009 but if Sky or BMC control the race it will be hard to get away.

This race will be won by cycling's Backstreet Boy Romain Bardet as he's gonna be on Another Level this year! :D

Seriously he devoloped step by step so far. But this year I expect him to quit playing games. His rivals should fear him each time!

As another poster pointed out, i wrote "I THINK". <edited by mod> and read my comment and think for yourself a little bit.

I'm not saying G Thomas is superpeaking for the P-N or anything, but he started his season already Down Under in January, so he had 2 races in his legs now, and P-N will be a big season goal for a rider like him. For Contador it's only his second race of the season, so he should not be in the same boat formwise as Thomas.

With that said Contador needs to show he can beat Thomas, even if Thomas have more race days than him right now.

The difference with the prologue is, that he has to come from behind. It's always eaiser to follow attacks and counter than trying to drop somebody.

I think therfore I am...how else does one express an opinion except to say I think...does not make it valid or credible and who is being unpleasant by callign that out ???

Its seems you guys can call Chriss Froome that most objectionable names and yet someone calls your opinion out and asks how do you know this and its unpleasant .

I guess its only unpleasant when one disagrees with you

I think he'll take time on Madone d'utelle as well. It's different from Algarve, he has the racing legs now and will probably be much stronger. It's a long climb.

He can also pull off an amazing prologue, you never know with Contador.

How did Froome get into this discussion? I thought we were talking about Thomas and Contador?

I have no problem at all with Contador ...I think he will probably win Paris Nice
He was the best climber in the Algarve once he got going
He may lose on the prolog but will make up for it on the MTF
I even think Contador can win the Tour if his team is strong enough

My only issue is some of the constant emotional rollacoaster non stop stuff from his die hard supporters. Especially bile against rivals. It really is we can say what we want but you don't criticize us or our man

I was only arguing what i thought could be the outcome of P-N. I even said that I think that Thomas have a chance of beating Contador in P-N, but you was there one who attacked me for thinking that G. Thomas formwise was further forward than Contador.

The way I see it both could be going for a peak in the spring, but a stronger peak in the Tour, the so-called "superpeak". BUT... I PERSONALLY THINK that G. Thomas will be a little bit ahead formwise since he started racing Down Under, and he's a DOM in the Tour, so this is his time to shine.

There is a bigger chance that Contador will be better in the Tour than in the spring, but I think G. Thomas will be around the same. If that makes sense.

But in the end it'll be a disappointment if Contador can't beat G. Thomas.

I have no problem with your points and on closer inpection of the course it may as you say suit Thomas as the climbs are not that long/steep for Contador

But we are both thinking without Porte ...He always goes very well in this race

Sad Froome won't be in Paris-nice. But he'll get his assbeating in the tour.

you don't need to go that far. Catalunya will his assbeating. Contador, Froome, Aru, Quintana. Star studded list. He skipped P-N to prepare for Catalunya. I really hope to see contador doesn't get beat by G or Porte. enough about early season. Nibali and Froome, have won their first race. It's nice to see Contador won GC on some of his only 4 of his races outside TDF.

That would be a neccesary morale boost.

This made me laugh... Froome may not win - I think he will - no way barring injury, illness or complete breakdown in training do any of these guys get crushed - for me AC has the most questions to answer this season
