You're wrong there, i'm sure some Froome fans are very happy with this. Don't have too much faith in how good humans are.

Because some are fans of Froome you think they probably are happy to see Contador crash and that they are bad humans?

Your unfairly stereotyping Froome fans with that comment IMO.

For some people it is the same thing. Maybe not for you.

Ofcourse its not the same. He descended like a girl ón all the set stages and I myself had a laugh ón that behalf, but that doesnt mean I enjoyed seeing him crash. I never enjoy seeing riders crash wether I like them or not. But does that mean I cant find it funny if they lack skill in certain areas?

I think your comment says more about you then anything else.

So you don't think some fans will be happy with it? That comment says more about you

It's 'than' btw not 'then' ;)

What does it say about me? That I like to think cycle fans want to see riders compete to the best of their ability?

And, you need a full stop at the end of 'about you'. ;)

No because you think that no human will cheer for someone's bad luck.

Me personally i wouldn't cheer for it btw. I want Contador to beat Froome when he's 100%, winning the tour without Froome doesn't have much meaning for me. Just like Wiggins winning the tour while not being the best and without Contador.

Thought Saxo was very strong today, 6 guys in the first group, Jesus and Paulinho a few minutes back and Noval in Kittel group

vs 4 for sky

but Alberto didn't look very strong, I don't know if that's because he crashed yesterday or because he's not in great shape

I though Saxo and Bertie looked good...but my eyesight is 20/50 (with glasses).

Thought on the last climb he was lacking a bit... started very close to the front and slowly lost ground. But I dunno.

Yeah and he looked fine when he sped back to the front of the group on the last climb, it even looked like he was going to pop one...wonder what he thought when Froome wasted energy with his usual showboating and nearly missed a turn in the descent...

I thought that was because of the narrowing road/crowd. That was why Froome got away so quickly--most of the favorites weren't on his wheel and couldnt respond

He was always in the top10 on the hill, and after Froome attacked, he stayed calm and waited for Roche to work on the downhill/flat. I think is was totally normal. He don't need to be nervous when he has no reason, and today there were 12 kms left.

Contador claims its fine, for now.

Then again even if he wasnt fine, he probably wouldnt say it. Remember how in 2010 he bluffed his way into only losing 10 s on Morzine, when he could have lost minutes.

That was a great bluff, shows you Contador's intelligence in a race. I don't think he would have lost minutes though.

He looked good today, he wasn't dropping back orso as fleur claims.

"We have to wait and see what happens tomorrow, because in this type of fall is often when you notice the effects,"

So we shall see!

Indeed he won't give to much away, no point in giving Sky a reason to attack him!

Then again, over here Contador is a lot less optimistic.

you saw this , right?

I know it's nothing but it's the best we've had in the last 10 years for the first stage unless you count the first real stage of last year's tour.

2008?
