One bad scenario is having Valverde or Purito storming off the front, who chases? Froome or Contador? Do they work together? Do they call each others bluff and wait for the other to take up the chase? The one who chases knows the other can counter attack them as soon as the junction is made and be dropped. Froome will attack tomorrow and he could drop everyone and ride into or close to the Red Jersey. Its going to be interesting to see how Contador's legs are feeling. I think Contador's form is dropping a bit as the Sky manager eluded too, but maybe they are putting too much stock in Alberto not following Froome attack 2.5km a few days ago.

even if the likeliness that valverde and purito have the gas to attack far out, contador is not going to chase. Why? (one is 1.30 and the other one is in 2+). Froome will have to force to chase, if he wants to keep his podium. If Froome is dropped (usually briefly as we saw time to time), he'll limit his losses and claw back to those two eventually. (no way he is just sitting in contador's wheel. He wants to win the vuelta don't forget that). Then that's when contador can attack. That's actually a pretty good scenario if contador has the legs of course :D

I thought he seemed to be really struggling at times, but when I saw Froome going into the last 2 K I knew Alberto had it in the bg. I can't recall ever having seen Froome being in that much pain.

I think he should have gift the stage to Froome, but this is a race;)
Absolutely not. I like Froome, but he would leave it to him? Already forgotten his statements on Alberto last year? And the Tour 2013?

well doneAC, the first thing you've done right since you left Astana, you saved me in the Foxxybrown game :D:D

Wasn't there a GT in 2011 where he crushed some random italian guy that later on won the tour?

Bravo Contador nice to see you get number 3 hope you get the record off Heras now, Froome just did not have the acceleration like the Dauphinee but no excuses Contador was stronger.

i think froome-fans will all realize who the real alpha dog is. ...and AC is still not 100% yet.

Will he do a Giro-Tour double next?

So pleaded for Contador. Sky did all they could to suppress him all of 2013.

I now have to burn my £10 in celebration but I shall do it with a smile !
