contador977 said:One bad scenario is having Valverde or Purito storming off the front, who chases? Froome or Contador? Do they work together? Do they call each others bluff and wait for the other to take up the chase? The one who chases knows the other can counter attack them as soon as the junction is made and be dropped. Froome will attack tomorrow and he could drop everyone and ride into or close to the Red Jersey. Its going to be interesting to see how Contador's legs are feeling. I think Contador's form is dropping a bit as the Sky manager eluded too, but maybe they are putting too much stock in Alberto not following Froome attack 2.5km a few days ago.
even if the likeliness that valverde and purito have the gas to attack far out, contador is not going to chase. Why? (one is 1.30 and the other one is in 2+). Froome will have to force to chase, if he wants to keep his podium. If Froome is dropped (usually briefly as we saw time to time), he'll limit his losses and claw back to those two eventually. (no way he is just sitting in contador's wheel. He wants to win the vuelta don't forget that). Then that's when contador can attack. That's actually a pretty good scenario if contador has the legs of course
