Giro 2015 will be the easiest win of AC's career.

Aru is still young, he still has progression to make. That means, he might be better han Scarponi or Nibali in the Giro of 2011:D

The parcours in the giro 2011 was harder than contador's competition.

Kill everyone on stage 8, take the jersey, kill everyone but Uran on stage 14 (ITT), then follow Aru's wheel on every MTF from that moment on (maybe take the jersey back from Uran), maybe ride away for a stage win

I don't agree with that plan, Aru can have the jersey on stage 8 assuming uran will lose time. Then just destroy aru in the ITT and take the jersey.

I'd like to see him ride away from everyone on at least one stage and I know he will try to. So while you may disagree with my plan, I'm sure Alberto's plan will be similar to mine, perhaps even more aggressive.

I think, La Flo, Alberto's plan will be to win the Giro with as little effort into the Red as possible with July in mind. IMHO he is the best in the World in being able to do this. It won't be easy though, far from it.

of course, which is why he'll attack on one stage and then follow wheels for the rest of the race

Thing is, winning with the least effor is destroying all their hopes of a happy life (Giro, for that matter) early, so they're not even trying to win anymore.

I'm not so sure that's how it will pan out. I see it more of a Vuelta performance. Picking away here and there but making sure he has enough in the bag before and after the big ITT. But, either way, it should be a Master class which I'm very much looking forward to.

We just need to ask jens_attacks how Alberto will plan to win it. He did quite well the last time:

yeah right the usual "i'm not the big favourite here, there are others" thing of alberto before every race.what i want to discuss with you is what kind of strategy will alberto choose?my guess is that he will pick an armstrong one, kill them all in the first mountaintop finish, take one minute to all other favourites on etna and then some more on grosslockner.i don't think he will go full gas on the stages next to come.three minutes separated by the second rider in GC while waiting the time trial should be enough.he wants some freshness for le tour too.
of course i don't want this to happen.if he wins this giro,i hope he'll win it after a fierce battle, fiercer even than in 2008.

That was a great call but I'm not sure it's Contador of 2015. I'm happy to be proved wrong of course if he still has it in him. I couldn't see him doing what he did at Etna to Nibali again..

Nibali won't do the giro, isn't that pretty much confirmed?

But hey he can do it, contador can then crush him twice in the same year.

You mean tour & vuelta?

Yep, and it starts to get worrying. All I'm hearing is Alberto traveling to all kind of places for a week and a half. And it looks like it's not over. And Bjarne doesn't seem to give a ****, he can't think of cancelling all these sponsors rdv.

Hope he won't be complaining next year " I can't inject form into him" , cuz he'll know where the problem comes from.

On top of that, the freaking new jersey is looking like 2013 one, so everything is shaping up to look like 2013 season, get prepared guys

*Pessimistic mode off*

yep sorry. my brain say vuelta.. my hand typed giro.. ow boy. Thanks for the correction.:)

i have the same sentiment as you (but not the pessimistic mode yet). I thought he got so many sponsor engagement in 2013 and that explained how he sucked all year. Next year his challenge are bigger than 2013 and 2014 combined. And currently, he still travels around. I heard Froome is training with porte in tasmania after sky training camp, then race early in Australia (forget what that is, but not TDU). Valverde and Quintana have started the training camp by the look of CN article. Nibali, probably is busy angry to his team for the 4th doping violation. And contador? he is still playing shake hand with sponsors! It's worrying because last year, he has started training since October. It almost end of november now.

It is, Nibali is targeting July. The Etna/Nibali comment was just an example of where I'm not convinced that's how Contador will/can play it in Italy.

As an inside, I don't think Nibali will be getting crushed by anyone any time soon...

Nibali will get dropped like a granny at the Tour
