I know what Andy Schelck is trying to do! He's trying to amass as few WT points as Alberto Contador. It's a silent protest against inequity.
:)D)

God - I missed today's stage- but got the results-just amazing how Alberto makes any race so exciting-even if he's defeated. It seems his power has dimishes a bit , but what stands tall is his relentless hunger for victory & competition-all qualities of a true champion. :)

He & Froome are the ones destined to duel in the coming GTs, which will add an amazing spectacle.:)

:( I wonder why, maybe he's getting old :(

Wait untill T-A :D

Contador just lost from Froome, he'll be extremely motivated. He'll train hard the next 2 weeks.

Look up a picture from him when the presentation of T-A will happen and compare that then with pictures from him in Oman.

You'll see a difference ;)

well it could be as he say, he's 2.5kg above his ideal race weight. That seems like a small amount, but I think it plays a factor in his ability to accelerate away and maintain the acceleration. I also think he's probably not as anaerobically fit as he will be in a few weeks/months. This level of racing can't be replicated in training, so I think he'll see the benefits down the road (i.e., Tour).

Or he's getting old. :D

Hm, how could Froome join titans if he won 0 gts and had outside chance to resist Contador the day before yesterday ?

Similarly, how can you manage to never add any substantive value to any of the discussions in this thread given the volume of posts you make here? It boggles the mind :D :p

In all seriousness, it is clear that Froome is the real deal and it is only a matter of time before he stands on the top step at a GT. I like his fight and I like what this means for cycling. Count me as a fan.

Your agreement like a key criterion of substantive value? OK, I could agree with that. But if I had built a theory of global Contador's superiority over others in any racing aspects like some people do, I wouldn' have been hurried to bury this idea so quickly.

No clue what you mean here, but I suspect it is a function of English not being your first language.

As for AC's superiority, all things are relative. In 2009 he was vastly superior to the other GT candidates. Over the intervening years, his competitors have improved and thus his relative superiority has diminished--which is, in my opinion, a plus for fans. I still think his ability to recover over a 3 week race is superior to the other GT candidates, but the gaps in other areas are not as wide. 2013 is shaping up to be a great year for GTs and stage races.

A comment about Majka.

According to Eurosport.onet.pl he had to postpone opening of his season because of a 'minor incident'. He says that he had some problems and therefore he was out of training for some days but now everything's fine and he's preparing to upcoming races.

This sounds really strange

Said for truth...he's just stirring the pot as usual.

Also said for truth. But 10 people here can say it and he will still go with his tired old baiting :(

AC and FroomeDwag are going to make this a Very Exciting season :) I'm looking forward to epic battles!

Tell that to Sky :p
