The thing is many AC fans unsubstantially accuse Froome of a thing Contador was suspended for. They simply don't want to put up with the fact that a stronger rider hit the scene and strongly imply how it is unfair, jokey and ridiculous. Hypocrisy is in this. At least I'm glad Froome prepared part of people for such a scale of domination earlier in the season otherwise the forum would have been collapsed.

What do we observe? Nothing radically new. Contador is approximately at his Vuelta level, equal to Alex and a bit stronger than Rodriguez on the climbs. We just see what fresh Froome is capable of.

Airstream wtf. No Alberto is not at his vuelta level. That's pure BS.

See I don't think it is as simple as you put it to be. People like an under-dog to which Contador is one now.

Despite this, I still regard people who attack Froome but follow Contador as hypocrites for following him considering his past.

If you're saying Alberto only has a lot of fans because he's the underdog now, I'm going to call BS on that.

Fact: Alberto had lots and lots of fans before he tested positive.
Fact: Alberto had lots and lots of fans after he tested positive.
Fact: Alberto had lots and lots of fans after he got banned.

He is the underdog right now and that has certainly made him even more popular though.

Hitch technically isn't saying he became more popular after his ban but I can imagine la vuelta won him some fans.

Why do these DSs think that isolating Froome is the first step. If Froome is isolated, then Movistar will ride for him.

I just hope tht AC does one of his long range attacks

It really depends on wether Saxo and Movistar will ride against eachother or against Froome

Froome still needs to get his instructions from the radio to decide whether he should follow an attack or ride tempo to neutralize the attack.

I haven't actually seen froome respond successfully to multiple attacks like the way AC used to do.

I think surprise is the key to beat froome. Thats the only reason AC will dominate froome.

I think the attacks will have to come from Roman. Alberto is not strong enough. But Roman's final placing is important for the team. Dillemma.

I am also afraid if Saxo attack, Movistar will chase to secure Valverde's second place. Belkin will be happy with two top 10. It'll have to come from saxo. I just hope they're strong enough but I doubt it.

In this situation, Froome may as well be Wiggins/A.Schleck/C.Evans (whoever AC's main competitor was for the respective year's tour) but I fear that the even greater competitiveness of Froome has strengthened AC's fans' resolve even more against him in particular.

Movistar - well they want to beat Saxo I think, sad but true so they can't really be counted as allies but perhaps helping to seal the Polka-dots for Pierre, a stage win for Andy and some sort of Belkin alliance they can find enough Allies there...
