he hasn't twitted anything yet. I hope he is downplaying what he is doing, or he is actually can only pedal with one leg. :D Either way, I don't like the jacinto dude, keeps making comment on behalf the great one. But so far the silent on his twitter is quiet troubling for me.

As far as his season, i don't think his season is a waste at all. You don't get to be no. 1 WTP if you don't have a great season especially considering that he didn't even win any GT (well at least with the silent on his twitter, might means he is out Vuelta). If he can win other WT races before the end of the season, he might be able to shoot himself up to no.1 again. Now, that's not too shabby for someone who didn't even win a GT in a year..:D

Totally agree. 98% of pros would be ecstatic with his palmares this season. But they aren't to Contador standards and therefore he will be disappointed. The races he excelled in were merely preps to him. Nice to win but not the target.

It's a pretty amazing season though to lead the WT through the completion of 2 GTS without scoring in either.

Now Bala leads the WT and people trash him; go figure!

Vino Attacks Everyone take note: Aru's favorite rider was and is Contador. :D He watches AC and analyzes the way he races.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/fabio-aru-looking-at-history-helps-us-to-avoid-mistakes

If he watches closely he'll be learning from the best man out there. :)

No wonder. Aru started cycling in 05. AC were a Liberty S, Discovery and Astana rider which all were awesome teams (Discovery were a bit meh, but still), and he climbed like what we thought were an angel at the time. Now we know ofc. that the true angel is Aru :p

This guy keeps saying he saw Contador training very hard last week and there's another person that was with him that says it too.

Possible explanations? -He wants attention but he's not really getting much on twitter maybe he knows fools like me mention it on cyclingnews
-He saw someone but it wasn't Contador.
-Saxo is lying and Contador is breaking all records as we speak LOL

Anyway it can easily be resolved, this guy rides a lot so find him, shouldn't be that hard since he knows where contador rides and take a picture. This is the reason why i won't believe him.

I don't see the point of saxo lying about it.

that's what is so hard to believe in. If he has seen contador, is it too hard to take picture or press record button? He is just trying to get attention and spread rumors.

As far as I'm concern, Contador isn't going to Vuelta. And I'm trying to just deal with it. Even though in the back of my mind, I was hoping Contador is actually already started training. (ah what a dream :D). Hey, at least, Majka is fulfilling the headliner for TS. That's a great news. I hope he could kick Tejay's **** at USA PROCYCLING

He said today that he didn't have the same legs from the Tour. Let's hope he doesn't decline any further at the USA PC.

If he had done Veulta and Tour as planned, then whoever among Quintana and Contador wins Veulta would have been No 1 in WTP. Now Quintana will become No1 unless he crashes out of Veulta.
(or else piti wins worlds, which never happens.)

So Yes. AC had an amazing season already, even without any GT.

Riis says if Contador should decide today, then no #LaVuelta. But if everything goes well, still a small possibility (via @AndersKrog)

Yes its getting a little silly. I've settled it in my mind that AC is not going. And, if by some crazy chance he does go, I've settled it in my mind that he will just be going for stage wins and so it won't matter if/when NQ and CF kick his buttt. Its working....all these tweets aren't fazing me. :)

Contador is among the 14 names given today that can ride the Vuelta.

So I am still thinking he will ride, and he will ride in similar condition than the rest of the favourites.

Nah we absolutely don't know what kind of shape he is in right now.
It's more likely he won't have what it's got to win the Vuelta, otherwise it'd be crazy;
He will be in good shape only if: He's already started intense climbing trainings without any pain whatsoever, and also some altitude training camp in the remaining 2 weeks.
If he's still just spinning the legs around Lugano, then forget about it.

If it was up to me, I'd send him to Jerez only if he is in enough good form to WIN (i.e vuelta 2012), he really doesn't need to live another Tour 2013.

Edit: What said Riis proves the Jacinto Vidarte is just going around talking bull****.

For me it's obvious though that the press guy of saxo was lying his *** off about the whole hometrainer stuff and only riding on one leg.

Or Riis must be insane to think Contador might still ride the vuelta in 2 weeks when he can only ride on 1 leg 2 days ago.

Anything is possible for Les Forçats de la Route. Riding on with a broken collarbone for a whole GT etc.

Another thing I find very strange, Alberto doesn't update at ALL on his condition and recovery anymore, even today he spoke about Sagan's transfert in the TCS news and he STILL didn't say a thing about his recovery, not a word.

Either he & TCS are downplaying his game, so the favourites don't take him seriously when he actually looks good (goes back to what I said a few days ago) or he really is hesitating still to go because he can't train properly.

He won the Giro after holydays in the beach...it is not so simple like that, becouse he was in holydays with his bike, and becaouse he won Pais Vasco little time before...but here, he was in top form at the Tour, he dont need training camps or something similar, he just need two long and hard days of trining before La Vuelta and he has time for that y he is already climbing climbs sin late July as some people assert.

He has the work done along the year, if he train properly two weaks before La Vuelta he will be with a better preparation than Valverde, at least more fresh.
