that's true, especially if he wins the 2016 tour and froome will have to be his domestique de luxe or the other way roundHugo Koblet said:It would be fun if he went to Sky.

What is thw same friend that is a friend of Landa? Or no, I got it - it was Landa himself, we have all seen itWell I didn't know he uses 11kg bike, that finally makes some excuse for his performace at Pais Vasco.

Wow.
That must be pretty close to his best numbers, even from -09.

Remember, on such a climb with steep ramps, it's out of this world. You fight gravity too.
2009 level in my humble opinion

Dno if you wasn't aware, is stupid or attempting be be amusing, but Landa has had a really shitty spring. I doubt anybody in the peloton would be able to win like he did on stage 2 with that little preparation
Blurry - still waiting for your reply, I think we had an interesting conversation.

in 7 years training methods, food, bikes etc have improved obviously. and in general yes, others become better. every new generation is a little better than the previous ones overallJakub said:LaFlorecita said:Jens disagreesEscarabajo said:Too short to tell.peloton said:LaFlorecita said:Via ammattipyoraily on twitter

Well, these things are confusing me. Is it really so that he provides the same performance as in 2009? Are the others now so much better?

2009:4,4 km@9,3%---12:12---average speed 21.64 km/h(Alberto Contador)
It is supossed Contador is more tired after an stage with several climbs than in and ITT
The only advantage you may have in a normal stage (not ITT, I dont now how to say "etapa en linea") is if you are following a very speed pace for some very good domestique or rivals most of the climb, but that year Contador attacked at the middle of the climb as this year.
So, of course, he is not close to 2009 numbers, although he pretend to show that.

He always pretends he is as good as ever, that one never gets old...

On topic: would be great if he moved to Etixx and Etixx would buy 2 or 3 mountain domestics too. Finally after all years in stupid russian and kazach teams, he would be in a normal one.
Comparatively he was better in 09 as well, he was without a doubt the biggest favourite that year, now he is a close 3rd among all bookies.Taxus4a said:Valv.Piti said:Taxus4a said:2010 is the VAM Contador did at the end of the queen stage of Pais Vasco in Arrate.

IMO he is as good or better than in 2009, but I mean his performances, now are worse. Of course he is not old. Samu, Hayman, Valverde, Purito and a lot of people more disagree with that, dear Magnus.

Clinic reasons.Valv.Piti said:I dont, what are you trying to say? His performances and relative level compared to his competitors in 09 (Andy, Frank, LA, Klöden) and 16 (Quintana, Froome, Pinot, LRP) are lower, so I dont understand why you say he is as good or better than in 09
staubsauger said:2009 is a bit overrated actually as the upcoming Tour editions were very low. But compared to the years before it ain't been no giant Tour at all. There ain't been much action at all the first two weeks. Tony Martin still was in the top 5 by then. That should tell enough.
Also Schleck always has been a guy to deal with for Contador.
