I just can't see Andy as "the next great GT champion" that the media appears to be trying to build him into. I'm not going to bash the guy too much although I don't like him at all, but I will say that I have never seen a great cycling champion consistently whine and cry in the media like the Schlecklet does. Most of the multi-winners of the past would not engage in this type of thing, for example Hinault would have been happy that he dropped his chain and that Contador didn't wait because it would have motivated him to crush him. Same with Lance Armstrong when he fell on Luz Ardiden in 2003, then got up and crushed Ulrich. I dislike Armstrong as well but there are huge contrasts between his mentality and Andy's, and Armstrong has the mentality of a winner; Andy just does not.
I would not bet on Schleck to win too many GT's or frankly many races at all at this point.
And seriously, all racers have mechanicals now and then, the point is to deal with them positively as they are part of racing. Still crying that your dropped chain lost the Tour 6 months later is just weak.
