How'd that work out for the last two team managers?

Doesn't matter, it's just my explanation to those comments.

Last year, Andy couldn't finish races in spring, this year he did. He's way ahead compared to last year, where he still climbed with the best 15 guys at the Tour.

Verbier and Saas-Fee will tell, where he stands. From what I've seen on the TT and stage 2 he's going fine now. Yesterday he just decided not to fight for positions in the finale.

It's going to be harder for Andy to find a contract now that Belkin riders will also be looking for a new team.

Andy hasn't shown anything for Trek and I think other teams would rather take Kelderman, Ten Dam or Mollema as GC contender riders than Andy.

Has Andy just become a stage hunter kind of rider? [if he can make that effort]

nah. I am sure some dutch company will step up to take over, after all this is the flag of dutch cycling

Could Andy turn into a Mountain classification guy?

Lose 10 minutes on some early flat stages, then be allowed to go in early breaks to score a ton of mountain points and win some stages? Is there any value to be that kind of rider anymore. I seem to remember Rasmussen winning some mountain jerseys in that fashion.

Andy needs just one good showing in a MTF and a vast amount of confidence will return ;)

last year he did very well on albula pass. this time we have hopes for a top 5 on verbier i reckon.
if you'd tell me in 2010 that i would become a big andy schleck fan, i'd have put you on a big dose of anti-psychotics right away

then he'll suddenly remember how to climb 40 min at 6.2w/kg and challenge CF and AC. and then we'll wake up and learn he has abandonyied the tdf

Maybe I'm having ultra high expectations due to the recent days in Suisse, but I see today's 45th place as a good sign.

It may not tell us much about his physical condition, but a position like that in a stage like the one we had today is a place for someone who has some ambitions to do something and is somewhat confident. If it was lazy Andy we would be in the mid 100ths, maybe losing some seconds in the finishing corners.

We will be ready for July!

Andy will make Verbier his little ***** 09 style

Ah Verbier 2009, happy days;)

Seriously, those 2 TDS stages are going to tell us all we need to know, unless he is bluffing big style (Yes I know, Andy fan here grasping at straws:eek:). Still, just, about, keeping the faith;)

Andy only needs to know that him and his brother are on the same race. That's how he's going to win confidence.

The only way Andy builds REAL confidence is to never race with his brother again.
