Scroll down to "Steriod use and death"..... brain tumor... sound familiar?
Yeah he blamed it on steroids, but there is no evidence to support it.

Ferminal said:That EPO is an agent which can reduce cancer growths? I find that hard to believe but will sure read the papers if they are there.
EPO and other catalysts for RBC production are an integral part of dealing with cancer treatment, but I've never heard of them being a treatment in themselves.
top_tenz_finish said:Ah no sorry what I meant was that EPO does not increase tumour growths.
131313 said:The current research strongly suggests otherwise.

You do realize that these products now carry a boxed warning for tumor growth, right?
ChrisE said:And? Back on topic Sonnen is making an absolute statement, ie LA's cancer was a direct cause from PED use. There is no proof of that statement.
For a guy that is 26-11 Sonnen sure does talk alot of shyt. He is a quote machine of outlandish statements in the MMA press.
I'm not a fan of Anderson Silva, but I hope Silva kicks his a$$ this Saturday night. I doubt his mouth will slow down with 12 losses, though. Maybe masturbation = blindness will be discussed next by this a$$clown.

131313 said:No doubt, it's a ridiculous statement. It's more salacious that what would be an accurate statement, and I'm sure it's mostly about generating publicity for himself.
This would be a more accurate statement: "If Armstrong was using various performance-enhancing drugs, he likely increased his risk factors for his own cancer, and potentially exacerbated its growth".
Doesn't exactly roll off of the tongue, does it?
Hugh Januss said:The guy is expressing his opinion, something everybody is allowed to do. If he goes too far, Lance should slap a defamation suit on him. Think it'll happen?
Edit: By the way welcome back, beeotch!
ChrisE said:No it doesn't, but like I say I look forward to seeing him get the crap beat out of him this weekend, and that has nothing to do with LA. I follow MMA pretty closely and the term "a$$clown" is not a strong enough description of him.
buckwheat said:Sonnen is doing a pretty good PR job and nailing Pharmstrong in the same breath. Good for him. You don't think he's a tough guy? 37 fights against some good opponents. All American wrestler. Seems like a badass to me. Probably more so than Pharmstrong.
He's a Repug so that's a strike against him.
131313 said:my point is pretty simple; you can't discount the link between performance-enhancing drugs and cancer. People who are suggesting that there's no possible link are simply incorrect.

Boeing said:Jim Rome had him on today
Chael Sonnen denied saying that and says He and LAnce are boys and work out at the same Gym
ChrisE said:It was reported, transcribed, and on a radio show. Should be pretty easy to prove one way or the other.
I find it hard to believe he didn't say it. It is all over the MMA forums as well.
Hugh Januss said:He was overcome with roid-rage and didn't know what he was saying.
ChrisE said:You been sniffing space shuttle exhaust fumes again? I don't condone a flat out lie about LA's cancer, but apparently you do....there should be a level of fair play and grace here regardless of how much somebody is hated. Sonnen has zero grace.
Yes, the PR for the fight is good because he has no reason to be in the ring with Silva. You see the commercial where he is saying he is "the best"?
Anybody that fights MMA is obviously a tough person, but that is not my point.
Your last point is right on...that just compounds it.
That would be wise.ChrisE said:Anyway, it's good to be back and I will try not to be too offensive this time.

Boeing said:It was the first I heard the story
maybe he didnt deny it but he did say Lance Called him and they are cool
just sayn
he sounds like a badass however
Riley Martin said:Has Jim Rome given a take on LA yet? I know he was tight with LA before or had him on the Jim Rome show from time to time. Curious since Rome is a straight opinionated person what he has to say on the subject.
