Vino would probably have been in yellow when he got popped ;)

Regardless of what Discovery and the Chicken were up to, Vino still got sloppy.

In that IM exchange with Andreu, Vaughters said Moreau was clean when they were both at CA - think he said his (Moreau's) hct. was 42.

Moreau's suspicion index was 7 (first french rider)
In 2007 he was surely on blood booster, crushing the french road championship an indecent way, but you're right he certainly had no logistic (the extra BBs) to last more than one week in a GT.
In 2008 he had a very weird DNS in the beginning of the TdF, even his DS didn't know why he was leaving, I guess he was on CERA and was aware of the oncoming new test.

I still don't understand how Moreau's hct was 42 when he was riding with Vaughters, Moreau was the only french guy to be close to Armstrong/Beloki/Ullrich in 2000/2001, was often the best french rider in the TdF, was at least once stopped by the fed doctors for low cortisol parameters etc. Plus he never said a word against doping, is often arrogant about doping on twitter, bashing Bassons for example.

IMO clearly "part of the problem".

neh, After the first mountain stage in the tour, we will see Kash rising up as the captain for the team (birdsong looses 10 minutes) After that it is fighting with AC, Froome and AS in the mountains and gets the third place after taking 2 min ++ on Andy in the final tt

Good plan, but winning TdF shouldn't prevent Kash from going after the Vuelta as well. Only lightweights will be in Spain, no problem for Kash.

Fuglsang can only surprise at this point. Everybody (well, some) thinks hes the dogs breakfast.

He will skip the Vuelta because of the spanish armadas mental health after the Kazakh invasion in the tour :D

I'm wondering has Astana been smart and have they saved a blood-bag for Nibs last night? That way he still has a shot at winning the Vuelta.

I remember Heras taking the lead in 2002 on the Angliru. Also Contador was not that strong at all in 2008 but owned everyone on the Angliru. I hope Astana's medical team planned it well :p

I guess he won´t risk anything for a Vuelta win he will be awarded anyway. Even if that takes 3 years...

His preperation has allways gone towards the WC. Doubt he will screw with it now.

Yeh I know, it's just when Vino started saying that they wanted to win the Vuelta too. I guess what it really meant is that try and win the Vuelta but without compromising anything for Firenze.

I think that might have happened though, Nibali has gone very deep this Vuelta. Stage hunting would prob had been better to prepare for Firenze.

yea. It is not like Nibbles is far away from the victory, and Martinelli said last week he still lacks 20ish watts from what he could produce in the mountians in the giro.
