Really? Thomas is an excellent TTer. Came 6th (?) in the Tour ITT last year, IIRC.

you will see ;) I know that Thomas is good TTer, but Malori has something more...

won't be malori winning, according to race results he is 39th Overall, over 5 minutes down. Race ticker must have been wrong earlier as Loosli was first lampre rider to finish 1.21 down.

After the race the jury decided to disqualify Stuart O'Grady (and another rider) for hanging on to the team car after an untimely problem with his rain jacket. The team regrets this decision and protested with the president of the jury. The harsh and cold weather conditions at that point of the race made it absolutely necessary to put on a rain jacket. Adriano Baffi: "We do not understand this decision. The jury should adhere to strict rules about what is possible and what not. Stuart is one of the most experienced riders in the peloton. He knows very well what is allowed and what is not.”

Looks like it is Thomas Geraint's to lose.

Sulzberger and Klier appear to be about the worst TTers you're likely to come up against. Sorenson had a good result in the 2010 TdF but little else recently.

The others are OK but not great, or have no TT pedigree to assess.

Should be Thomas, but i really dont know much about some of those other riders in the top 7-8. With a GC up for grabs and his first pro win apart from the national title, he really should do enough.

Video highlights are up on tsf by the way, fwtaw.

Cheers. Thomas didn't get out of his seat for that sprint.

I wonder if its a track thing. It must actually take concentration to NOT get out of the seat as it seems such a natural thing to do.

Either that or he knew he didnt have the legs and was content with 2nd and a chance in the TT

Come on Geraint! He deserves a win, and not another second place.

I don't know all of the names in that top 9. Have any of them got a TT pedigree?

Building form towards the Tour de France. That's all what the top level riders are in that race for.

Of course, but their are imo better races that fit his capabilities more.

Oh well, Tour de Suisse will come soon enough.

Keep your eye out today for nine riders.

Michael Teuber, Eric Winkler, Kurt Lallinger, Tobias Graf, Tino Käßner, Markus Bauer, Christoph Director, Klaus Lungley, Wolfgang Sacher

All are Paralympic atheletes who will be taking part in the time trial (tradition every year in Bavaria)
