so simple. and yet so hard for other teams to achieve.

Age group world's champs jerseys used to have a slightly different design with the bands going and back down at one point.
Perhaps if something similar was reintroduced they could be worn in senior competitions.

Perhaps, but in this particular case Vas would still be too old to wear it now.

But since the women's U23 jersey is, for now at least, won in the regular WC RR rather than in a separate U23 race, you could argue that the winner should therefore also be allowed to wear it in elite races. That would increase its prestige, although the race for it still wouldn't be completely fair, as some of the better U23 riders either aren't being selected or have to work for others.
 
Putting the national colors or flags on the belly area means they are hardly noticeable at all during the race. Unless they win and sit upright, 90% of the riders are in the drops or crouching over their bars with hands on the hoods, we rarely get a view of that part of the jersey. Maybe some sponsors insist they get their colors and logos in the most visible locations?

Also race numbers. But there are decent photo opportunities such as start line, podiums, before, after, natural break
