Pink tshirts best tshirts.

Obviously.

Well, we watch skinny men (and/or women) with shaved legs work their bodies while sweating a lot.
We obviously don't buy into the so-called gender norms.

Some riders are of course very masculine in the traditional sense, but others not so much.

Sure German Wikipedia and Anorexic Digest will claim, that Michael Rasmussen has/had the perfect body for a climber, but if you're looking for someone to climb something other than mountains, I'm not fully convinced.

But I can't speak for any woman.

DAOTEC was hilarious. Involuntarily, but hey.
My favourite Pisti moment was when he vehemently and loudly took issue with Farrar being called a "decent" cobbles rider, as apparently there was no possible justification for that, while almost simultaneously arguing that Cavendish was "crap" in the echelons, and then, when enough people called him out on this, he defended himself by saying it was just "hyperbole" and that people should "chill".

Also, cleans.
Didn’t Ryo accuse his son of doping?

What is Red Rick button? It is new or old one?

I originally voted for bag thing but when I read this thread I changed it to other.
LS hate over Scheldeprijs is the main reason I despise that race.
I've occasionally joked about a "delete forum" button in a sense of "if x thing happens I might have to use the button" and then @gregrowlerson decided to run with it and reference it consistently.

Some things I remember from over the years:

Bavarianrider marveling about Californian tarmac and how its the best in the world and looks so utter smooth. Literally every year when ToC came around and was still broadcasted on that player they had. Didn't help that the race running next to it was the Giro with a rather open minded approach to tarmac. (Bonus points for the Bavarianrider "Tony Martin will Top 10 the TDF" hype in 2010?)

That portuguese guy who was a Tiago Machado super fan and was hyping him for every race and was convinced he had immense potential.

What was the name of that Andy Schleck super fan who was always in fights about the Schleck-Contador rivalry with LaFlorecita? They had some heated arguments. He might be banned or just dissapeared with Schlecks retirement.

As mentioned a lot of times already: Ryo. The Clasico RCN thread and the armadas of colombians who were stratospheric climbers. I think he predicted Sergio Henao to win multiple GTs back when Henao had his Tour of Colombia glory days.

Might be missremembering but wasn't everybody complaing about Dave Harmon the same way everybody now is with Kirby?

Kenny van Hummel being dropped on bridges.

And obviously: Rabofail.

Oh and slightly Offtopic but was just randomly going back in forum history and found this nugget from August 2010:

Out of the current peloton riders aged under 25, who do you see as evolving into GC grand tour podium contenders? Said riders must not have had a current podium finish in a grand tour.

My top five in no particular order.

  1. Robert Gesink
  2. Tejay Van Garderen
  3. Roman Kreuziger
  4. Robert Kiserlovski
  5. Romain Sicard

What a throwback. Think I started lurking around the time of 2010 Tour.

Sheeeet how could I forget about Airstream. Machadofan was iZnOgOuD or something. True innovator of the pain in the ass caps.

Tbh I'd associate myself much more with complaining about GT routes than The Button.

Libertine Seguros has had a few, though I wouldn't call hating Sagan a meme really, but the Sepp Kuss thing is hilarious. Also Fedaia (FEDAIAAAA!!!!!), mentioning the best women rider in every rider of the year discussion. And shoutout to that one time I said there must be at least 150 climbs harder than Alpe d'Huez and LS went and made an entire list of 150 climbs

I do like the Black Album thing @Netserk. I'm not sure if it ever was a meme, but I did like @LaFlorecita's old sig referencing Hitch calling Contador the Greatest of the Nine. I think it started during the 2011 Tour or something.

CN was way different when I was still lurking. Stage threads were insane, previews could be huge. I think the first time I was lurking might actually have been the 2011 Tour de Suisse when Leipheimer beat Cunego in that final ITT, which is probably the smallest race to ever cause such rage on the forum. There also used to be some rivalry between The Dutch Mafia and some other posters, I think Aussieyclefan but most of this was before I posted here.

After all this years, the rage still flows vividly through my body every time I remember that dammed time trial...

Voted Vino, I find it so cool. Like he can win even after he retired.

I like the bag as a new one, like the prediction that will come back to bite you.

Gigs...great one. Always. Pulling a Gigs98, everyone will understand: you missed the broadcast.

Personally, I have classified climbs as Mayomaniaquesque...the dude keeps posting (and riding) profiles that are insane.

Mentions or nicknames that always make me chuckle are the likes of Cancellaru to predict a wtf ITT performance, Remco winning by a day, Pinot and his goats/donkeys pics and jokes. And Betancur...

Members' names are also in my lingo including the gem: GeraintTooFast.

Signatures: Netserk's Black Album was a classic, "Second place is not good - The Great Alberto Contador" is one that I really like.

Airstream didn't retire with the Schlecks, he switched allegiance to Froome and Sky before disappearing, makes me wonder if he really liked them or just hated Contador or he just enjoyed arguing with La Flo:D. He also liked to use some big words straight out of dictionary and complicated syntaxes sometimes.

Even more eccentric style of writing was of course Taxus44 (?) and his "I (don't really) know Landa very well" things. I think he has big parts in encouraging myths and memes around Landa in this forum.

Don't even remember that switch by Airstream. Probably just to piss off LaFlo.

Anyone remembering Wonderlance and his trolling with alt accounts etc?

Also, there was a time Kruiswijk was called the Loveboat I think.
